THANK YOU! Thank you for putting all of my feelings into a well-written and thoughtful post!
This series had so much potential, and it's disappointing to see how it fell apart. The actors did a great job with what they were given (which wasn't much). What a shame to waste all that talent. TNP was all style and very little substance, sadly.
But! It did reintroduce me to Jimmy, who I hadn't seen since "Peach of Time." I absolutely love him. And Ohm!!! What a delight. His unhinged posts refill my HP when nothing else can. I'm excited for Magic Lover, just to see them together in a series again.
Loved every second of this episode, but I have one question. For the bathing scene, how in the frick did they get their shirts off while they were still cuffed together? 🤔
I think this is really sweet so far. Hoping that this isn't going to be a "Somewhere In Time" situation. (Not sure how many people will get that reference lol!)
Episode 15 happened and I have no idea what my feelings are doing!
I'm happy to see Da On finally living for himself instead of endlessly trying to please everyone around him...
...but did he Have to do it now?!
Tae was finally starting to move on, to realize that he does have strong, if undefined, feelings for Shin Woo, and now Da On just comes in after putting Tae's heart through the wringer like, "Hey, you know what? Actually, I do like you." Like? Nah, you messed up, bro. Gotta live with it. And he KNOWS how Shin Woo feels about Tae—Shin Woo made that very clear when they talked and he told Da On that he would try to pursue Tae if Da On didn't, and Da On (more or less) gave him the green light. AND NOW HE WANTS TO COME BACK AND--GRR!!!
Sorry. I'm Invested(tm).
I'm still holding out hope that Tae and Shin Woo will be endgame based on the teaser for the last episode:
"That's the story of my first love. My first ended like that, but our story begins now."
I feel like he wouldn't consider Shin Woo his first love, but who knows. The story is being told so well that it's really all up in the air! For all we know, Tae might end up with Nam Goong and just throw everybody for a loop, lol.
If ShinTae does happen, I hope we get some scenes of them as a couple. And a kith. I think we all deserve a kith.
However all of this ends, I am Team Shin Woo and I want him to be happy, whether that's with Tae, or on his own. He's such a dear character and I WUV HIM TO PIECES.
The fact we're all so invested is truly a testament to the writing, acting, and directing on this show. Loving it so much.
Why did they think I wanted to spend all that time watching Yu Zhen and his ex? Like, bro? I truly do not care. You have 24 minutes, give or take, and you used up more than half of that time dragging on about Yu Zhen's past relationship with Zi Tong! We could have been watching Yu Zhen and Shi Lei be cute and lovey post-single rule, but y'all keep playing.
Ugh, I have complicated feelings about this show. The chemistry between Aaron and Hank is fantastic, and it's what kept me invested despite the downright aggravating pacing. I would *love* to see them work together again.
If they wanted to add in the complication of Zi Tong, that's totally fine, but they could have done that in say, episode 6 or so, and given it the proper time to get the audience interested/invested in their relationship. We could have learned about their past, they could use all that footage they shot (because I will say that the production value of BLiH is excellent) and I imagine it would have made a lot more sense. But nah. They threw him in with so little show left, so it felt rushed and pointless.
Anyway, I was excited to see some domestic bliss between Shi Lei and Yu Zhen, but now I'm just frustrated lmao.
Thank you for watching my movie and sympathizing with me.
Thank YOU for helping bring such incredible stories to life! I admit to falling down a Strongberry rabbit hole after watching LTNS because I loved it so much and wanted to check out more of your projects. :)
An underrated GEM! This was so, so good. My only "issue" with it is that I wish there was more. The chemistry between the two leads is amazing from the start and it only gets better. UGH SO GOOD.

We deserved some fluffy, domestic ZhenLei content, dammit. And maybe one more scene with Shi Lei's mom. I loved her.
I wonder how much fanfiction is out there for this series... 🤔
