Choice of not doing kiss scenes is fine, but leading romance that auto requires to do this is so so wrong. There…
yes, in the first place i just want to say i just feel sad for LHC. She’s getting all this hate for something that was probably out of her control. If her agency knew she had boundaries with kiss scenes, then why give her a romance script that obviously requires them? It feels unfair like she was set up to take the fall.
And yeah, I agree there are definitely many talented actresses out there who would’ve been happy to take on this role fully. Which makes me question the agency’s and the casting drama director decision even more. Why not cast someone whose image fits the genre better, instead of putting LHC in a position where she’d get all this backlash? :((
I think both should be responsible—the agency and her. You shouldn’t let others dictate your career choices.…
it’s easy to say, but in reality, the final decision on what drama an actor takes is usually made by their agency unless the actor is already veteran and owns their own agency. LHC only began her acting career in 2020, so it’s fair to say she’s still a newcomer who doesn’t yet have the freedom to fully choose her own projects.
I don’t want to drag other actors into this, but as an example look at Tian Jiarui. Almost his entire filmography so far has been with director Guo Jingming, who is known for his problematic reputation and is disliked by many fans. This shows that he likely doesn’t have the freedom to select his own projects either, as he’s under the control of his agency.
I think it’s pretty much common knowledge in the entertainment world that an agency plays the biggest role in shaping an actor’s opportunities and career trajectory. Without the right agency backing, even talented actors can end up stuck in projects that don’t reflect their potential.
There’s been a lot of speculation about why LHC didn’t do any kissing scenes. But up until now, even her fans don’t know the actual real reason. I did a bit of digging on weibo and found out that LHC’s agency is supposedly fully responsible for choosing her scripts; so why did they let her take on this project knowing she wouldn’t be doing any kiss scenes?
It honestly feels like they set her up to receive backlash and criticism from novel readers who were expecting those scenes, and of course from the viewers too (which is already happening now on Weibo and in the comments here).
LHC is a really talented actress and she just won an award for her recent film. It’s such a shame that her agency didn’t choose a drama script that’s more suitable for her. I felt kinda sad seeing her look a bit upset during the Weibo live with WAY yesterday; there were so many comments blaming her for something that honestly wasn’t even her fault.
there’s no way the ml’s an asshole and the fl’s rude. they barely know each other, they're just awkward…
Different taste, I guess. but calling the fl entitled just because she’s straightforward feels like a stretch. being direct ≠being rude. and the ml who exactly is he arrogant to? the fl? he literally just got caught off guard after she overheard a personal moment with his mom. of course he'd be a bit defensive. and that part in episode 1, he was mad at his friend for giving out his address without permission which is totally reasonable. just because someone’s not overly friendly doesn’t mean they’re arrogant or looking down on others.
Jeez all these characters suck - ML an asshole, FL is rude and annoying and the friends are a pain....Also no…
there’s no way the ml’s an asshole and the fl’s rude. they barely know each other, they're just awkward and finally started getting closer in the latest episodes. wdym ‘feels fake’?? you’re just saying things to hate atp

nooo, they’re not related at all. one day, xu zhi accidentally overheard clz arguing with his mom, and the sound of his mom’s voice reminded her of her own mother. and then xu zhi want to get to know his mom more, so she started trying to get closer to clz just so she could meet her. unfortunately, clz totally misunderstood it as a sign of affection toward him… poor guy ðŸ˜
Is it just me or the the trailer didn't match the synopsis at all.. they just seem like college rivals. Plus in…
In the novel (i just read 3 chapter), the reason she’s interested in his mom is because Lu Zhou’s mother reminds her a lot of her own, who passed away when she was little. i think it would be a big spoiler to put it in the trailer idk
