Ok so how depressed is watching this going to make me? Cause I'm on ep 1 and my will to live is already dwindling…
very. if that's a positive thing for you and you're in for the ride, then prepare for an emotional rollercoaster. but there also so many hopeful and beautiful moments weaved into the story, into the leads' relationship, done with a lot of love and care through the ost & directing. it will not leave you devastated at the end i promise.
i wouldn't really say so, they didn't have that hostile tension at the beginning that you usually get with this trope. ml is just wary and defensive because he has to be as a soldier at the dmz and fl is quite playful from the start.
I was surprised 'Vincenzo' wasn't high on this list ... until I checked and saw it has "Comedy" as one of its…
i love your sentiment and i agree! kdramas have long gone beyond genre restrictions and you're way better off just going with the flow instead of wanting them to stick to this or that genre. of course, there are exceptions here and there but you get the gist.
does this have a found family and comfortable with eo kinda trope?
i wouldn't say explicitly found family (i'm not done with the series yet & it could change in s2 as well) but there are lots of scenes with main characters bonding, especially ml and fl
Ep. 5: Beom Suek breaks my heart. So damaged, and understandably so, that he's not capable of trust in any form…
great write up on the characters and agree with everything you said! it just feels wrong to write BS's character off as an evil villain (like many comments here do) when it's so much more complicated than that. the tragedy in this drama lies in the way that everyone in it is emotionally scarred, some so much to a degree that it became irreversible.
lmaooo people on here see a drama that portrays heavy topics and immediately say it romanticizes and glorifies those topics. the media comprehension isn't comprehensing girl
"chi-geon lives in a hellish world according to his own methods. traces of the life he has lived can be seen in his torn ear and in the scars on his body [...] 'HOPELESS' features a song joong ki that you have never seen before. he completely transforms himself in the difficult role of chi-geon, from his physical presence to his facial expressions and the tone of his voice, in order to express the inner and outer sides of his character." crying omg the reason it's named "hwaran" is because that's also the korean name for the netherlands (been wondering what that signified) and yeon gyu hopes to move to the netherlands with his mother...
THE NEW PROMO CONTENT I'M GOING INSANEEE I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TO BE RELEASED!!!! this movie will devastate me and change my brain chemistry forever i just know it
sorry but rich heir x bright fl kdramas will NEVER die out they will persevere and we will eat them up every time. none of us romcom fans are above this trope lol
I think a lot of people fail to understand that romance is not less than it's just different from. A good drama…
thanks for saying this. people just love to complain about others liking romance and it's always giving misyogyny. and most of the time those complainers are women themselves who pride themselves on liking more "mature" or "serious" genres; it's all internalized. simple pick me mentality.
