you're right tbh. i think it's rather nonsensical to allow ratings before a series is even finished, or at least before the second half, when most of the episodes are out and it makes more sense to rate because you can judge more fairly when you've seen the majority of the show. it'd also prevent those people that only watch 1 episode of a show, don't like it, then rate it like 2 stars from skewing the ratings lol.

yeah if he was, it would've just sparked fanwars again (shk fans are a plague tbh). i've already read some dubious claims about him not attending only so he wouldn't cross paths with her which is a dumb assumption since the obvious reason is because his co-star lee sung min was nominated instead, which is well deserved. and to be honest, i'll take a cannes nomination over a baeksang one any day ^^

yes i'm actually hoping it will snag an award! there's also a chance it could win the camera d'or/golden camera award which is meant for first time feature films by new directors who have never released a film of 60min or longer. and hopeless was listed among those. so fingers crossed 🤞

RIGHT like why do people want characters to speak and act like they had 20 hrs of intensive therapy like where's the fun in that😭 couldn't be me i think they should all be a little fucked up and insane in one way or another. how else would these stories even begin if otherwise. idk man. purity culture has long made its way into how people perceive fiction and the kdrama community is not exempt from it.

thank you. it's really funny how people are always throwing fits whenever a character doesn't start out as perfect, competent, faultless or immediately likable (it's especially bad with FLs who are like that). like that's just the basis of a story. characters start out with flaws and get development or change as the narrative progresses. makes me wonder if they ever paid attention in english/literature class. that's why we watch dramas, to see the characters grow and go through obstacles. people here on MDL always expect characters to be perfect and morally flawless right off the bat and then cry about it when they're not like that during the literal beginning stage of the plot 💀

i loved go gwi nam so much! the kind of quirky character that i think we need more often

vibing hard with this drama already! yeon bo ra is constantly spitting facts and i love her. this might just be my favorite yoo in na character so far. her and the ml sorta have "she's everything - he's just ken" kind of vibes 😂 i also like that they're lowkey starting out as enemies. the back and forth between them during the meeting was hilarious, they chose violence from the moment they sat down lmao. most hilarious thing though was watching bo ra get delusional about being proposed to every time (and with that cheesy song in the bg) and then getting utterly let down every single time. the ending made me feel really bad for her though.
and the military guy gave off such puppy vibes! hope he and the sister will be a thing
