Exactly i was wondering about that too. We know she is sick but she still could've let someone handle the legal…
i'm pretty sure she already knows who's now living there though? i saw the scene at the end of ep 10 where jun talks to her in the pharmacy as him basically telling the whole story.
Righhtt!! I'm sooo confused about the mother's behaviour. She's been absent for most of the show and now she is…
yeah, i think so too. my mom is the same. like we'll have a heated argument and she can easily say stuff like "i'm disowning you" or something lmao. asian moms do be like that :/
Ep 9This drama and leads have captured my heart and they're not letting me go. I fall deeper and deeper for them.…
that scene had me squealing more than any kiss scene i've recently seen! and with that OST too.. *chefs kiss* the romance in a drama gets immediate bonus points from me when it recognizes other forms of romantic intimacy/expression (can be shown through hands, forehead kisses, hugs, glances, or just mere emotional closeness within the dialogue-- something this show absolutely EXCELS in) that are generally seen as "less" than kisses or explicit skinship and gives them the same or even more importance. it's so gratifying to see and i think i value that so much bc i'm ace and i feel like people place way too much importance on sexual intimacy in kdramas and in general in order to "verify" a relationship but that's a ramble for another day lol. i get that some want to see more skinship between the leads but let's appreciate everything that comes before that (it's a slowburn after all) because love exists in many forms.
is this loosely based on Spy X Family?? it certainly seems like it
i love the similarity but it might just be a coincidence. this kind of premise isn't necessarily a novelty; see movies like true lies or mr & mrs smith
but oh what a wonderful two episodes!!! this show keeps giving and giving. every week i fall more in love with…
i know, my heart was breaking for both of them! especially woojoo, that juxtaposition of dongjin confessing she practically saved him out of his misery to woojoo literally being miserable because of the situation she's caught in😭 no one catching a damn break in his show istg i'm easy to entertain but it's really rare that i genuinely root for characters will all my heart, they're all so painfully human here. except for evil mom™ of course, i want all of them to end up in a happier and better place in the end!!
One that I could think of is Because this is my first lifeAlthough the context is totally different but the leads…
yes the MLs are veeery similar! both go through life very passively, got hurt in the past and end up guarding their heart because of it. and FL gets kicked out of her house in the beginning too.
I remember seeing a comment how Woo Joo’s everywhere and I agree after episode 9’s ending. It’s a turning…
she's dongjin's guardian angel 🤭 jokes aside, she said that she went there to tell him that she was sincere about wanting him to live comfortably, at the beginning of ep 10 in the hospital
you know a drama has won your heart when all the leads do is touch hands and it immediately sends you into breakdown…
but oh what a wonderful two episodes!!! this show keeps giving and giving. every week i fall more in love with this show and its ability create such raw, beautiful emotions through its characters and the way they quietly navigate through this melancholic pinkness. yes, even the rose-colored lens we view them through brings me a strange sense of comfort.
really enjoyed the developments this week, dongjin going absolutely FERAL because of [redacted] was such a sight to see oh my god (his casual fit with the jeans was one too)!!! also ahhh jun and hyesung ㅠㅠㅠ loved the insight into jun's familial situation and how that shaped him as a person. and loved hyesung even more this week. she rubs many people the wrong way but i really love her. she's in search for love but bends herself to be accepted and gets hurt because the ones for who she bends herself for are always the wrong ones. but it's a blessing she has people like jun that know and see her genuine self. as someone for whom life/relationships to others can often feel like a performance (the inherent performativity of womanhood am i right), she's easily relatable.
and i like this evident theme that dealing with your problems though revenge might ultimately hurt you the most: woojoo, who thought that hurting herself in front of her father would make him realize things and return to the family, but then was left with more scars emotionally than physically. minyoung, who wanted to hurt dongjin for the passivity and (falsely perceived) hesistancy in their relationship, but is now equally struggling on her own. CEO shin, who thought that trying to bring best fairs down would make up for the loss of his wife, but ended up writhing in shame for how far that made him go.
and now again, woojoo, who fell head over heels for the guy she initially planned to take down. god my heart hurt so much for her at the end. LET LOVE COME OUT ON TOP PLEASE
you know a drama has won your heart when all the leads do is touch hands and it immediately sends you into breakdown mode. (screaming crying sobbing) woojoo and dongjin ilysm i would die for you!!!!!!!!
Was it like this? I think you misunderstood a bit (or it is me, who misunderstood lol I am watching with subs)I…
she did mean that though, her entire point was that she cares just a bit more about dongjin, a bit more than about any of the other people in her life and that's what made her realize she's in love with him. because she finds herself being specifically worried for him (and his wellbeing), in a different way than she is worried about the others. that difference = romantic love
