"[...] i just worry about him a little bit more. i just wish he could be a little less lonely. so what is this? what is this feeling? what is this that freaks you out so much?"
i've been rewatching recently and while watching the ep 20 death scenes one thing that came to my mind was how inherently comedic the whole thing actually is if you try to think about the logistics behind it. which, bless, is absolutely on brand for this show. i mean. vincenzo is holding these murder events in random abandoned warehouses and has contraptions like russian torture chairs set up (wonder if he's a saw fan), but obviously he didn't actually put them there by himself. the only other person who could have helped him with that is mr. cho: imagine the poor guy having to scout for warehouses, probably under immense time pressure, and having to set up that chair. which only brings more questions. how'd he even get that? did he have to get it delivered from russia and assemble all the parts like ikea furniture? did he have to go to the store and buy the parts himself? did he have an instruction manual? did vincenzo help him at all? it gets more hilarious the longer i think about it - he must have been cursing vincenzo to hell and back trying to build that thing π he seriously deserves some of that gold for helping him out with all his schemes lmao. like we know it was vincenzo who was responsible for the blood-soaked pillow full of syringes in hanseo's bed, but who helped him? of course mr. cho. we see vincenzo asking for a favor on the phone just a scene before.
"i'm really sorry but... you're in the hospital now, right? could you steal some syringes from the storage room? and maybe some blood too..."
What I have learnt from both βIslandsβ:1. Anything can be done when wearing slippers2. I am open to being…
lmaooo not the slippers, i thought i was the only one thinking about how mi ho was wearing them throughout the whole last two episodes (how did she not lose them when van and her fell from the balcony?) xD
i finally caught up with the last two episodes and while they were fun (johan and butler jang fighting off the demons was EPIC) by the end i was like ???? what was that πππ i was already sad there was no happy end for vanmiho in sight but they even took the open ending route... it just seems like they left it open for a possible s2, which i dont think will happen? but who knows.. does anyone know if they adapted all of the manhwa and left the ending like that on purpose or if the manhwa plot continues after what we've seen in the ending? considering the drama even followed the manhwa plot at all lol
and what was the point of these guys in white i never understood that π
SIGH. i was really really really positive van and miho would get a happy end, especially after van's whole dialogue about wanting to live.. but nah... we can't have nice things i guess π i did enjoy the drama and the main trio's interactions definitely made it worth watching but it's sad they ended it like that. i'll leave it at a 7/10 cha eun woo slayed tho!!!!
it's okay woojoo, you can Call It Love π€

aside from this one there are so many scenes that i'm excited to see; like the one from the trailer where they're camping together and i hope we get those from the opening too, especially the one where they sit in the tent. and from the promo stills + opening there should be a scene with balloons (?) too. i can't wait π©
CAN EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK JUST BE A WEDNESDAY???
