i think a lot of the comedy lies with rembrary always winning no matter how insane he looks/acts. like everybody…
yes he's just too sincere about everything he does, and instead of backfiring it ends up helping him π the girl from the dating show could have been put off being dragged along by him to find his member but instead she fell for his good personality lol
it does though, they're even deliberately showing how the button of his dress shirt is coming off. his apartment…
yess love it when shows don't spoonfeed you everything about their characters and don't shy away from relying more on nonverbal storytelling. gives you more to chew on π
the ship name for woojoo and dongjin in korean is so cute: μ°λ컀ν (udon couple) i think they actually ate udon in the restaurant scene at the beginning in ep 6 lol
If we don't have a back story of Dong Jin worn out backpack, it should be gone. It's irritating everytime he picks…
it does though, they're even deliberately showing how the button of his dress shirt is coming off. his apartment is empty/lifeless compared to before. they don't need to explain it to us. it all shows how he doesn't really live for himself anymore, doesn't care to indulge in anything anymore. why buy a new bag? a new shirt? it doesn't matter. he's pacing through life like a ghost. reminder this is a man who is depressed π
- i loooved how they're giving each member a little arc/moment to shine and show their worries, insecurities etc.!!…
yeah i'm seeing many people disappointed with it compared to the webtoon. i mean i haven't read it but even if, i wouldn't be mulling over the changes much either. because let's face it, many if not most kdramas adapted from webtoons tend to diverge from the original works and most of the time the writer just really likes the premise but then intends to do mainly their own thing with the story. i know some adaptions are very faithful but always expecting the drama to be /exactly/ like the webtoon will just set one up for disappointment tbh
feel like i'm experiencing a whole different drama here than everyone bc i love it so much and it might become…
- i loooved how they're giving each member a little arc/moment to shine and show their worries, insecurities etc.!! i was wondering if they were gonna so smth with haegyeol and they did. and i adore how genuinely surprised they are whenever yeonwoo cares for them bc original yeonwoo never did (asshat)
- i'm probaby the only one who finds the fantasy plot pretty compelling or at least feel like it doesn't drag the show down, sure the vfx looks a tad goofy but esp with recent developments things are getting very interesting (the visit to the afterlife and rembrary finding out the whole defeating-the-evil-one thing isn't as simple as he thought)
- I'VE ONLY HAD KIM DAL FOR [8 episodes] BUT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER I WILL KILL EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM AND THEN MYSELF. i really don't know how anyone could dislike her. her character is imho one of the best parts of the show, and i love the way the drama handles the mental health topic (and how it's a big issue within the idol industry) through her. and i find the romance super organic and just SO wholesome. the way he's naturally genuinely caring but ends up going the extra mile for her bc she's become special to him!! him not being able to heal trauma, but still trying to do whatever he can and literally looking up what to do during an anxiety attack to calm her down. him showing liz ri the positive comments (i cried) and showing dal that she forgave her, just to make sure she never blames herself again. the deliberate care. who's saying romance is dead!!! and the forehead kiss in this ep killed me. i swear romcoms NEED to do these more often bc they're so underrated and can be so so much more intimate than actual kisses. yeah i said it
- this show manages to tickle my funny bone so easily like it's just hilarious and kim min gue is giving absolutely everything. I'm literally watching this drama with my non-kdrama-obsessed guy friend (he likes the reverse isekai premise) and he's loving him so much lmao he keeps saying how well he portrays his character. and even he is adoring the romance
feel like i'm experiencing a whole different drama here than everyone bc i love it so much and it might become one of my favorites in a while??????? this show + call it love are keeping me sane atm ep 8 is probably my favorite so far, it got me smiling from ear to ear for all sorts of reasons π₯Ί long ramble ahead
