the way i have so many shows i'm watching rn but all my mind does is go back to this show... i miss bitna and daon so much :'') this drama is really the show of the year, if they don't get at least one daesang for this i'm sending everyone at sbs to gehenna !
I LOVE THE DETAILS IN THIS DRAMA??? when yongju visits minju's place she notices he has corner protections on…
ngl imma be real i know we're just 4 eps in but i already like this pairing better than the business proposal couple. they were great too but the ml here has so much more charm and personality + i'm feeling the chemistry way more!
I LOVE THE DETAILS IN THIS DRAMA??? when yongju visits minju's place she notices he has corner protections on every furniture because he tends to bump into things easily (he's just like me fr) and later when they're both having drinks together, and he puts the bottles on the table, she puts her hands on the corner so that he doesn't bump into it... ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
small detail but i actually love how yongju insisted on having areum and her assistant on the team despite her basically rallying the village people against her & their harsh confrontation before. instead of harboring bad feelings towards her (which many people would have done in her situation & which is easy to do) she knows she just did her job and instead had her join the task force because she recognized areum as someone who works really hard towards a goal. and she didn't even have to insist on them joining because they're not in the same department! it shows how good of a person yongju is
minju wearing a hairtie on his wrist so yongju can tie her hair anytime and yongju wearing different shoes so minju doesn't have to look at her combat boots anymore OOOOH THE ROMANCE
Unrelated question but what does Korean beer taste like? Does it take like beer in every other country because…
it's not just korean beer but beer in general can taste wildly different depending on how it's manufactured, what type of malt variety is used etc. i'm from germany and there are many different beers with different tastes each, it's similar to wine where it's probably not that noticeable to ppl who don't drink it very often but there can be a lot of nuances. there is also the craft beer business which is what minju is doing in this drama, smaller indepent brands that you don't typically see in restaurants or stores.
the whole clothing tag thing omg (and basically yongju's entire assessment of him) 😠posting this here for some awareness: so, the more i watch this show the more clear it is that our male lead is simply neurodivergent. "highly sensitive/HSP" and "empath" (neither are an actual diagnosis and there is no scientific proof that empaths are a real thing) are highly contested among the psychiatric community, and seen as something to sugarcoat neurodivergency and make it sound nicer or less like a disorder. if that sounds like ableism to you, that's because it is. because at the time these things came into the mainstream, there was very little discussion about things like masked autism and neurodivergency that doesn't show itself in the severe, more stereotypical way. these days there is much more research about all the different ways neurodivergency can present itself, so "HSP" and "empath" are things that aren't taken very seriously anymore. of course if some people want to identify themselves with that, it's fine, but if you do - chances are extremely high you probably just have undiagnosed autism or ADHD etc. (coming from someone who had the same experience, trust me, the HSP to neurodivergent pipeline is very, very real lmao). though i guess in korea those terms are still widely used and there is less of an understanding about the validity of these labels. but most of the time, those kinds of people are just ND and they either don't know it or are in denial.
i gotta say, this is actually hella fun 😂 it's camp but some of the jokes are so out of left field they left me dying laughing. the lead's chemistry is great too!
