A childish action dream

The plot could've been great, ended up being a disappointment. The cliches never ended, everything happened exactly the way you'd expect it to go. So is there any real need to even watch the show?

The male lead is a person who wants to study, but is not good at it. And he fights people who won't let him study or people who don't let his friends study. Like I said before, it could've been something good. But this same thing keeps happening for 10 episodes.

So its the same old story of convincing people to join a group with him. Usually it's gathering people for a heist or something, but our hero wants to be in a study group. Oh and apparently the whole school is against the idea of a study group.........even if it contains only 5 kids, all the higher ups of the school want to get rid of it. It's kind of like forcing things into existence. Their issues like this made little or no sense at all.

The "villain" also had potential, but we barely saw anything about him before the last episode, and even that was very one dimensional. You'd think the son of a gangster could handle a nosy teacher by himself (and his teen fighter gang) but you'd be wrong. He gets expelled, and gets arrested. Many students - who were only a day ago fighting and playing his games, turned against him and helped the good guys. Very believable.

The only good character was Se Hyeon, he had more to him than anyone else, but again all the plots related to him were too obvious. Everytime he got upset, he'd be convinced and back with the group after 5 mins. Oh also, he's the one who cannot fight at all but he did defeat the villain's no.2 guy all alone.

The whole part where the ml's mother wants to transfer him was very boring, wished they'd show her background of fighting more, but they didn't focus on that. Also, ml's fighting teacher was mentioned a lot but never shown, maybe they want to keep it for future seasons (that I'll save the trouble of watching). Even the prev teacher's son's role was very stupid and irrelevant. I thought atleast he'd join the study group, but that never happened.

Overall a very predictable and ordinary show, but if you want some nice action scenes with music, go ahead and have a watch.

This show has to be one of my favorite cdramas. There were moments where it made me laugh and times where it had be emotional and on the edge with it's plot twists.

Unlike most people, I did not start the drama because of Xiao Zhan (though I do love him) but damn this show is great. Each character had their motives and weren't shallow, the acting was good and so was the story! I just finished this but want to rewatch it already.

If anyone reading this is wondering if this show is worthwhile, i'd say give it a go. It's honestly one of the only two cdramas for which i did not take a break in between (the other one is 'go ahead'). Usually it gets difficult for me to keep my attention on cdramas since they are sooooo long but i wish this one was longer :(

When like gives you another IU drama...

A very relatable tale of a woman's story - the heart of this drama is: mother-daughter relationship from the beginning.

The brilliant cast and director made me want to watch the show, and it didn't disappoint. It had parts that will make you cry like a baby, parts where you will see yourself in the characters, and some scenes will help you gain more perspective in life.

I didn't expect it to, but the romance in the drama swept me off my feet too! It had elements that made me root for the couples more than I would in a full romance based drama.

The cinematography was ofcourse breathtaking (its Jeju we're talking about here). Overall a great watch! Made a lot of memories here.

Thank You For Your Hard Work, Wlgyt team!
