Lovable characters, good production and good music. One of the few netflix originals that I truly enjoyed. Other than some questionable acting from few of the guest actors, I can't really fault this drama. I feel like the acting peaked towards the end from Ishibashi and Kaneko, I really replayed a lot of their scenes together. The plot line was impactful too. I can easily see myself going back to this drama.
Watanabe Daichi's acting impressed me, I'll be on the lookout for his other works. The story is cliché but the characters were beautifully portrayed. And most importantly the ending felt right, it wasn't rushed. It's definitely one of the better japanese dramas from last year.
The drama is not what they advertised at all. The main leads are simply plain characters with no chemistry. The only characters that interest me are the other 4 hwarangs but they are getting less and less screentime. First few episodes were fun but then it took a turn, and now I'm only watching fun clips and Taehyung's scenes to monitor his acting to be honest (and all he gets is a couple of sentences per episode).
I think the show is off to a good start. Good balance of emotional and comical scenes. PSJ and PHS's acting are so far so good. I am looking forward to Tae's acting though.
From the preview ep.13 looks like it will be the episode Goo Dae Young finally feels some jealousy over Lee Soo Kyung and Attourney Kim but previews are always so misleading ;___; 4 episodes to go and I wonder will I ever see some romance between Goo Dae Young and Lee Soo Kyung ;___;
