For me the Shi Gu doppelganger was a strange addition to the episode. (I don't think the voice was dubbed, though…
Oh I'm pretty sure the voice was dubbed, the voice was different and you could see the delay(even though it was very minor) when the lips wee moving. But his personality was different, Juan Zhi was very good in portraying that. In the end the actors were good, it was the script that effed us over .
The only only thing that you can save in the last episode is Hao Ting and his mom's acting. the crying part was very realistic... the rest was a mess, I MEAN EVERYTHING. And the guy who was identical with Shi Gu with the new voice over to indicate to us that they are not the same person?? What was that? Did they want to show us that Hao Ting was in love with Shigu not because of his aspect or because he was a man but because of his personality? So he was not gay? did they want to tell us to live life because every moment is precious, Make our days count? We didn't even get the opportunity to say goodbye to Shi Gu, we were thrown 6 years later in a world without our precious baby. I knew by the end of ep 9 something was going to happen, but I expected an accident, Shi Gu gets hurt, he has to stop his projects, for which he worked hard, for maybe a couple of years. but Hao Ting was going to be by his side and face every challenge with him, making every day count...Isn't that better?
This is what bothered me too. Like what purpose did it serve? Couldn't the message of "Make Our Days Count" still…
Right, they gave us fluff, Shigu finally was experiencing happiness in his life then BAM, he is dead. Is like they wanted to punch us in the stomach and tell us to live life in its fullness because you never know... instead they the only thing they left us with was sadness...
In the end the actors were good, it was the script that effed us over .
(even though we didn't actually see it)
