Gahhhh I'm so torn between Jung and In Ho. With In Ho, I feel that Sul can express herself freely, and In Ho brings…
Hahaha... I understand how the two guys can tear you apart specially in this drama. I wish we had the resolve of @TurkishRose who's been rooting for Jung all the way from the beginning of the episode. ^____^v
Spoilers from the Webtoon about the stalker who appeared in the last episode. Don't read ahead if you don't want…
ooooh!!!! You finally read it! I'm so proud of you chingu. hahahaha!
There's another fault in there btw... Yoo Jung knew ahead of time that In Ha will be a bitch towards Seol. She's always been like that and that's the reason he gave the phone to her because he predicted her actions.
Defending Yoojung? I feel his biggest flaw (and we all have them right? :P) is that he remains silent as a defense…
If I base my opinion from the webtoon, Yoo Jung is a character that could be put in my book of "people I love to hate but can't help to love". I want to say something moooooore about Yoo Jung based on the webtoon but it's going to be a major spoiler so what I would share is my opinion based on the drama.
Episode 7 will be showing A LOT of things about the real side of Yoo Jung and I'm really looking forward to that. I love the complexity of his character per episode. He targets other people's weaknesses behind the scenes for his benefit. Viewers like us are put at the edge of our sits contemplating whether he is misunderstood or not? Did he actually manipulate the situation or not? Was it really his fault or not? For me there are enough clues that says Yoo Jung is someone bad ass. If it's only one person, I would understand that it could be a major understanding... but come on! Multiple people has been on edge around him. Let's start with Baek In Ho - he got into an accident. Why? How did he get into it in the first place? We know that he was friends with Yoo Jung and that he got into the care of Yoo Jung's father. What exactly is Yoo Jung's take on that? How exactly did he feel about it? What did he do about it?
What about Joo Yong (the chubby guy who's Seol's neighbor), he knew Yoo Jung since they were kids and he looked so pitiful that he even knelt down in front of him to appease his anger. He was THAT afraid. So something really happened back then. Then Yeong Gon (Seol's stalker), how would you explain the fact that Yoo Jung told him that Seol and him looked good together? When in fact Yoo Jung is a smart guy who could assess the situation any time and knew for a fact that Yeong Gon is a sicko who has delusions of grandeur.
Those are just some of the characters I would want to point out. If that's a misunderstanding, I don't know what manipulation is all about anymore. Heh. But setting that all aside, I have the theory that Yoo Jung sincerely liked Seol and that he was somewhat "sorry" for doing all those things to her from the last school year and he's making up for it. If he's not intentionally targeting Seol, she was somewhat caught up into his wave of manipulations which he probably didn't really mean to do but didn't care to fix.
That's my take on him and some of my theory. I read some article the the drama wouldn't be following the webtoon's ending since it's still on going, so I'm really really excited to know how they are going to end it. ^_^v
Gahhhh I'm so torn between Jung and In Ho. With In Ho, I feel that Sul can express herself freely, and In Ho brings…
I feel your pain!!!! Even when I read the webtoon, I was torn between the two. Here in the drama, I'm trying so hard not to get that second lead syndrome. LOL!
I think it would also depend on your tastes in drama. If you're into sageuks, politics with a lot of plot twists... this will be worth your time. Plus ALL the actors are awesome. There are no dull moments in between.
Can anyone tell me if this Drama has the same quality as Empress Ki (as in awesome plot twists, logical thinking,…
I wasn't that hung up with Empress Ki, I did like it because of the main actress and beautiful cinematography, but the story line was quite crappy. I wouldn't compare it to Six Flying Dragons story line, because personally, there's nothing to compare since SFD is pure epic when it comes to its story as a whole. ^_^v
One drama I would be recommending that could stand up against this drama, it's pretty much old, but it was just as awesome. Do check out Jewel in the Palace/Dae Janggeum.
a darker Lee Bang Won...........this is the start of the internal conflict...knowing how the real (based on history)…
I read it too! But there are still a couple of situation like how Bang Won will fight for the throne by killing off Sambong, Po Eun and his brothers. He will also be killing his in-laws which gives me the goosebumps. I think those situations won't have enough time for the drama.
An absolutely unforgettable moment in ep 32 !!! Just like Bang Won I also realised that I still like Sam Bong…
Episode 32 was definitely amazing. The scene between Bang Won and Boon Yi was heart wrenching. You can see how much Bang Won was agonizing about his current situation and the decisions he was going to make. The tears!!! OMO. Then there's the ending scene where he told himself he still likes Sambong despite what he heard. I'm now as confused with my own feelings as Bang Won is. haha!
Aigooo, in the few past days I watched eps 26 ~> 32, and I miss it already! I want another ep now :D re watching…
It's worth the dramathon right? I tried to hold off for at least 4 episodes so I can binge watch, but I can't help myself into watching every time the subs are available. lol!
Nicely put... I like how you made your review about Deok Sun-Taek-Jung Hwan subjective and not as a must.
I've been reading reviews that the ending MUST be changed, JH deserved something better, writers must die... etc. It's weird reading those things. This is a new pace. Thanks for sharing your thoughts chingu!
Finally starting this drama! Loving it so far even though I'm still in episode 1. :)
Let's spazz about this chingu. I'll seriously catch up to the latest episode through the weekend. ^_^v The actors are really good! Thumbs up to the director and pd's, they're awesome for getting the feel of this webtoon adaptation.
I really want to ask the writer on how they thought of the story and how it was planned. I get a lot of comments…
This is awesome Ireth! Thanks for the links and insights. I just wanted to know the writer's thoughts because in Healer, the writer was able to convey her feelings about the story and if there were changes or whatnots about the plot. Basically my questions there was answered because of that.
For 88 if you back track on the interview for the adult version, there were definitely hints that Taek is the husband.. the plot hole for me there is the framed picture of DS and JungHwan. It's just weird that DS kept it in a frame and talked to Taek about it in such an endearing way. Won't it be awkward for your husband to see that lying around at your house? Your wife with a picture of another man... so that sort of put me out of my loop in my theories. >_<
I just wished they had shown what happened to the other characters. The whole drama was centered around their…
Oh... fans must have come up with their own endings, or a fan-fic went rampant for a different ending. Character death for Reply series is highly unusual. So it's possible it was made up by fans. >_<
I really want to ask the writer on how they thought of the story and how it was planned. I get a lot of comments that the ending was changed last minute... but I would like to confirm this though coming from the writer. If you have links that published the writers comments in english, it would be highly appreciated. :)
