As much as I dislike her mom and disagree with her way of handling things, I do think she's also a victim. She isn't inherently bad, she became the way she is as a consequence of all the suffering and injustice. Qiao family would be the way they are regardless of things they encounter.
I'm not defending her or justifying her actions, but I do have some incentive to look at things from her viewpoint. With so much trauma and getting no breaks, it's hard to be a good parent.

The rage I was feeling during that family dinner almost made me lose my mind, so I can only imagine how QY was feeling.
"A wife is an outsider." Imagine saying that about a woman who not only risked her life to give birth to 3 kids, but also lost one of them because of her husband's family. A woman who works hard every single day while sick to support those kids. They should be glad she didn't set fire to all of their homes while they're sleeping.
As a woman, it hurts me every time I see women like the ones in Qiao family who, instead of supporting each other, tear each other down for male approval. BY is yet another victim of such behaviour.

Hopefully the satisfaction we'll get from tomorrow's episode will override some of the frustration and sadness from those so far.

As other have said, ignore the rating and judge it yourself. It's such a good drama and very realistic.
Each character has depth, acting is really good, story is interesting and engaging, pacing is well done, and it makes you feel so many different emotions. Unless they start changing things and adding filler scenes, which I doubt will happen mainly due to number of episodes, it'll end up on my favorite dramas ever list.
I'm eagerly waiting for each new episode because they seem to end so fast. I never feel the need to fast forward.

So I guess it's the cousin and not the uncle? Or maybe uncle knew something and is involved in another way?
This is so messed up. Plus, based on her mom's behaviour so far, once the FL gets to the bottom of it, she will not stand by her side, but be against her.
I hope she makes genuine friends besides ML because she'll need them...

Does anyone else find her uncle strange? Besides his treatment of his wife, I mean. Maybe being involved with the situation with her sister?

I've just finished the 4th episode and it's amazing so far. I love how layered each character is, it makes it real.
When it comes to her mom, as much as I try to understand her, I can't support her behaviour. Despite my parents not really being like that, I'm from a culture where sons can never do wrong while there are many expectations and restrictions set for daughters. It's changing with the new generations, but it still exists. The depiction of such dynamic is very well done and equally as infuriating as it is when witnessed in real life.
I'm also glad so many different important topics are being shown. From AIDS, to bullying, to parent-child relationships, financial difficulties and how it affects education and students' school experience etc.

ZJY, as always, is doing an amazing job. I'm so glad she got this role. I think her character development will be interesting to watch. Hopefully by the end we see her happy.

I can't believe they've made a short drama in which the FL isn't getting constantly abused by everyone, especially ML. She even defends herself when she is and is reasonable. Even jealousy and potential conflicts get resolved in a much better and mature way.
Chemistry is also really good. One of the best short dramas that I've seen.

Honestly, since the first disappointment and deciding I would finish this and not take it seriously, those kissing scenes are now humorous to me. I'm kind of getting excited to see what they'll do next. Show two birds or horses, blind us with strong light, do some kind of animation of their characters kissing, make him hold her face and kiss his own hand, etc. Options are endless lol

I went to look up KSH to see if he has any projects going on and I find this! I'm so excited we get to see them as a couple. This might bring me back to kdramas.

When AT brings that whip out, you know the fight is about to end.

I get that this is a revenge drama and any romance we get is just a plus (for me at least), but to say it's unnecessary or him wavering due to his feelings for her is a bad thing is something I disagree with.
He has been portrayed as emotional, he has allowed his emotions to reign over him in situations unrelated to AT, he hasn't fully completed his training and that has been mentioned a few times. To me that means it's important to the plot. It sets him apart from villains, it makes it more interesting to watch since he's not perfect and a robot without feelings, and makes you happy he might have something more to live for besides revenge. Revenge will end one day and then what? Should he just feel empty and depressed? Having someone he cares for and cares for him is a good thing.
I hope they have a HE. They both deserve it.

That's ok. Personally, I like to see physical closeness in romance dramas. Fake kisses look awkward to me, so no kiss at all is better.

I was really hoping her no kiss clause was over because of that still, but I guess they fooled me.

I think she's a good actress, I'm even one of those who like her character here and find her quite interesting, but I fully agree with all comments.
I wouldn't put all of this on her though. I think those who were in charge of casting actors should be blamed the most. If you're going to make a romance based drama, with such title, build this suspense for their first physical moment, you can't do a fake kiss. Especially such badly executed one. I've watched dramas, more or less romance based, with no kiss scenes and that is always a better way to approach it than doing whatever this was. It totally takes you out of the moment and makes things awkward...
I'll finish it since it's a shorter drama and I've already seen almost half, but the rating will go down for me.

It was obvious she's not the third person, but I guess I was wrong about ZZX lying to ZH. Maybe he really thought, just like Marquis, that she is. Maybe Marquis was lied to about it or maybe he lied to ZZX on purpose? Whatever it is, I'm glad it's not revealed yet. I'm loving the suspense.

My girl AT... I really hope they have a happy ending, they both deserve it. I have a bad feeling about her losing her mom eventually. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I started watching a few weeks ago and stopped after 7th episode to wait for it to end before continuing.
I've seen some spoilers, but I'm so excited to see what happens!

My eyes were glued to the screen during the 27th episode. It literally felt like it was 5 min long because I was so into it. Everything about it was amazing.

I came here to ask if she still has the no kiss clause, so I assume she does. That really sucks for dramas like this one. I did see a still of them "kissing" so maybe she'll do it?

Since ZZX wants to save his dad's life, it makes a lot of sense for him to share everything he knows about ZH and then both of them coming up with this plan. We'll see what happens after ZH meets the Queen. He'll probably figure it all out depending on her reactions to his questions.

Yes. It also seems a bit too early to find this out. I think too many episodes are left for us to find out something this big. It kind of removes all the mystery out of it.
