There is a bit of confusion about the part of Nam Shin not blowing up. I'm guessing because he took of his bracelet, it left him inactive, and therefore without the coding to be able to activate the killswitch mode. However, I do believe he took damage, but because of his waterproof mode, some part of his robotic skeleton or conscience survived and was left to float in the water. David, the person who created Nam Shins body, searched for Nam Shin, and found him. However, he must of took a lot of damage, and David was not able to recover the AI special features. Instead, David made him more human like. After months of working on Nam Shin, he let him wander to So Bong, with less abilities like lie detection, because So Bong stated she didn't like the fact he was different and above her, and instead made him more human like, giving him the ability to cry. Although, I'd like to think Nam Shin himself had some humanity inside of him and cried through his own self will!

If the drama goes with the manwha, Soo-Ah doesn't like men, because of an abusive past. However, her corrupt mindset of wanting every man to herself, and making others feel bad about themselves without them realising it was intentional came from her past, overcomes this dislike and disgust. She believes in order to be respected, and treated like a human, she has to be prettier than the girls near her. He was meant to explode, an the mother being there is an important part for the viewer to show how horrible human Nam Shin was. He didn't care if he had to kill his own mother in order to get rid of the robot. Sad, really.

Are you serious? Human Nam Shin didn't have the mental capacity to be "understood." he had gone through manipulation, abandonment, trust issues, and heart break. He was ready to kill So Bong, his grandfather, anyone that stood in his path. There is no physical or realistic way So Bong could just end up with such troubles, with an immoral and broken character like Human Nam Shin. I'm glad he had to lose everything, including his mother, to realise how corrupt he was. Robot Nam Shin learnt to cry, and feel emotions, and by the end, gave up all his abilities that made him different, to feel love. A robot is simply a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Nam Shin is a robot, with the capacity to be a emotional, loving, crying, stable, helpful robot.
