I tried watching Love Upon a Time twice, but both times I couldn't get past the first episode. It seemed like just another one of those series where characters do nothing but shout, the narrative is confusing, nothing happens, and there’s an excess of random scenes just to fill up screen time.
Fortunately, I managed to move on to the second episode, and to my complete surprise, the series is absolutely incredible.
Net finally got a leading role in a series that knew how to make the most of his talent. The acting is excellent, and I love how the story manages to blend romance, drama, and comedy so well.
I honestly feel that some episodes are a bit too long. However, the mystery surrounding Klao's "death" provides the necessary dynamism to keep the story from becoming tedious.
I do feel the ending lacks a bit of emotional impact, though—but nothing that diminishes just how incredible this series was.
