shota in jotei made me fall for him! he is one of my fav Japanese actors and when hes in character he cant be stopped (don Quixote anyone?). shun oguri, hiro mizushima and shota are my top 3 male Japanese actors... always quality work!

Yamapi! only my old school jdorama fans can understand the special place he holds in my heart along with kame-kun and matsu-jun. T_T I miss the old jdrama days... T_T
I haven't watched code blue but after watching Buzzer Beat how could you not love him?

so the story is a rip off from America movie 'Sabrina' but ten times worse , the second lead is cute , that the…
it is the same as sabrinia! I couldn't figure out why the plot was so familiar!! the lead didn't live up to Audrey Hepburn's example ..

Oh! I do love Jdramas but they can be hard to find . sadface. Most of the ones I come across are school dramas / procedural dramas/ or psychotic ones none of which are my steez. sadface.
I do hope more newbies to dramas get into Jdramas because its good to diversify your drama addiction.
Great article! ..... but no Yamapi??!! sadface.

as always I am late to the party:( But I appreciate someone talking about how Jdramas are awesome! I must agree some of the jdrama actors are not as cute as the kdrama ones (I think its their teeth), and they have way too many procedural shows... but the acting, storylines, and concepts are much more varied and complex. Sure k-dramas are cute but they recycle themes and characters all the time. Jdramas seem to really dig into human nature and character development. I am always on the lookout for a good jdrama comedy so if you know of one recommend it to me!! Thanks again!! :)

Yea! I love Jdramas, but sometimes the procedural (cop/detective) shows and the family shows are too frequent. You didn't mention my FAV Buzzer Beat and Gokusen, but you hit all the other gems in the jdrama world. Thanks for this article!!

uuuggggh. Network Kdrama kisses are THE WORST. Better kisses seem to come from cable kdramas and tdramas. I have to agree that park shin hye has the best ice-queen, never been kissed, no-emotion kiss scenes.... maybe its in her contract to "act" like her character doesn't enjoy kissing. lol. good oped.

Go Princess Go Chinese drama from 2015
You should watch it. Go Princess Go is a very unique take on both time travel and gender bending.
honesu Mar 17, 2016
Yea! Time travel plot! I Just watched started watching Rooftop Prince (I know I am late to the party) and find it interesting but my favorite time traveling dramas weren't in this list :( Right now I really liked Go Princess Go and The Crossing Hero. The first is Chinese and the second Taiwanese but both have hot guys and comedic fan service. I highly recommend!!

i think more of jugs back story should have been explained to viewers who have not read the webtoon. too much…
I was having trouble anticipating the direction of this drama too... so I gave up and started reading the webtoon. the webtoon is amazing and gave insight to different characters.

Loved this article. It was pretty much hitting the nail on the head. I fell in the trap years ago also and have…
lol! the struggle is real! I have Try stopping after the cliff hanging problem is resolved or fast forward to the end of the ep and see where your characters are at the end of the episode. Those 2 tactics have stopped me from pulling unnecessary all nighters for a drama. I haven't found a way to stop randomly saying Korean/Japanese phrases .... but when I do I will definitely share! Ganbatte! :)

OMG! this is the best anti-slump advice I have ever gotten and I have been watching for 9 yrs now. Your points are valid, and I guess I am most guilty of #2 not dropping. Similarly to #2 I think a lot of fans only watch a drama because its popular; if you are going to spend 12-16 hours on a show at least genuinely like it .

Review Kiss Me
omg! ur review was so spot on! when I finished this I thought to myself "ah! this was what was missing". the Thai version was waaaayyy more realistic than all the other versions (including the anime) and like you mentioned added depth, and a comprehensive look at the characters. Thanks for leaving a great review!!

Review Oh My Venus
OMG your review was so all encompassing that I feel I am aptly prepared to dive into the rest of the episodes. Thanks so much for a great review!

I loved the drama and the BL scenes were soo cute. I am glad I wasn't the only one who wanted to see another Yamapi rom-com ( as good as buzzer beat). Thanks for the review

So far I don't like this drama. At all. I'm not liking the message it portrays, but i'll watch to the end to make…
keep watching! its got a cute well wrapped ending, tons of ikemen man candy and the heroine has balls!

The lace front wigs in this drama are one point.... and although they are trying to hide the sew-in weaves for everyone else I can still see the sew-in braids......its so funny. all of that weave !!
