I started watching kdramas because was broadcasted on national tv in my country. but then i get tired of all this sadness, angust that korean dramas bring along at that time (like star in my heart, all about eve, winter sonata). When i was in middle school i found Johnnys' and jdramas as well, thats why in my first japanese doramas there are a bunch of idols, but i could know actors too (oguri shun, mizushima hiro, narimiya hiroki, hiraoka yuta, eita, mizukawa asami, ueno juri and others).
I considered myself a jdrama addicted when i realized that japanese doramas are shorter than korean ones and the plot no necessary has to content a romantic relationship (for an aromantic person like me this is precious).
Maybe finding japanese dramas is more difficult to find than korean ones but currently there are many sites like kiss asian, box asian, dramanice, even lj sources that offers the chance. If i want to watch it i find the way to do it.
I just hope japanese drama and cinematography get what they deserves! Recognizion! not only for horror movies or animation ¬¬
