Funny, cute, beautiful cinematography
I'm not sure why this series has a low rating. Personally, I really enjoyed it! The cinematography is stunning, and the beach setting is absolutely beautiful. While it may not be a typical BL series filled with lots of kissing or bed scenes, I appreciated the charm of the main leads, Prem and Boun.
I especially loved the character development of the main couple. Their journey from enemies to slowly growing attached and eventually realizing their feelings for each other was heartwarming. If you're expecting a BL that focuses heavily on physical romance, this might not be the one for you—but if you're into slow-burn connections and emotional growth, it’s definitely worth watching.
As for the second couple, I didn’t quite feel the connection with the main storyline. Their link felt distant, even though their fathers are close friends. That said, the fathers added a lot of humor to the series, and I really enjoyed their presence.
One standout moment for me was the monkey in the coconut tree throwing coconuts at Sun—it was absolutely hilarious! I have no idea how they got the monkey to do that, but it was such a fun and unexpected scene.
Overall, Even Sun is a light, charming watch with beautiful visuals and a cute storyline. Give it a try if you're in the mood for something different in the BL genre.
