Slow burn with a side of stress
Love Sea is a pretty average series for me, to be honest. What really got on my nerves was Rak’s character, haha! He’s just so cold and serious all the time. It felt like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, and despite being a successful, wealthy writer, he never seemed genuinely happy.
Watching the series actually felt kind of stressful. It gives me headaches. I get that his behavior stems from childhood trauma and being brainwashed by his father, but come on he’s a grown man now. At some point, you gotta stand up for yourself.
The romance was a major slow burn, like really slow. Even with Mut putting in so much effort to connect with him, Rak barely responded or he responded negatively. It got frustrating after a while. A lot of intimates scenes that makes zero sense. It is understandable if the story is about FWB but hey they tagged it as romance.
The secretary she is very annoying, I can't tolerate her. The GL story is not exciting at all, no chemistry between them. Girls' acting was terrible. I feel like the director or writer just gave them a screen time to make the series lengthy.
That said, I’ve got to give props to the visuals, the beach setting was absolutely stunning. At least it was nice to look at, even if the story felt heavy.
