CUTE IDEA BUT CRINGE EXECUTION
I didn’t watch the Japanese version of Ossan’s Love since I’m more into Thai BLs, but I did check out a few scenes and honestly, it didn’t feel as cringey as the Thai version. Right from the start, I found Earth’s acting a bit too much. It just didn’t land for me, and the humor felt forced. No hate, I actually love Earth in A Tale of Thousand Stars, but I think this role didn’t suit him. Maybe I’m just used to his more serious, emotional characters. Comedy might not be his strong suit, sorry Earth, haha!
As for Mix, his acting wasn’t terrible, just kind of flat. I dropped the series around episode 10 because I couldn’t really get into it anymore.
Would I finish the series? Maybe.. if I completely run out of shows to watch. But for now, there are way better BLs out there. This one’s at the bottom of my watchlist.
