Well, I'm not entirely sure, but this seems like a strong friendship to me. This drama has all three kinds of love: Love between lovers, love between friends, and love between family members. This seemed like an extremely strong bond, but they don't seem like lovers.

Did they become immortals or mortals after marriage?
First, put that as a spoiler. Chu Xuanji is a mortal, and Yu Sifeng is a demon. They are technically also God of War and Xixuan, but they have not finished their 10th life in the mortal realm yet, so technically they are still mortal and demon. Marriage has nothing to do with it. BUT, when they die, they will return to heaven and their original forms, as they have completed their ten tribulations and God of War has earned her place back in heaven.

I'm confused about this Dijun. I know Dijun means Heaven King...so is he actually the almighty King of the Heaven…
No, a dijun is an emperor and he is extremely powerful, but he is not the heavenly god. I don't know what episode you're on, but the heavenly king appears in this drama and he even more powerful. Yeah, the heavenly king is just a man who is lazy and stupid, but it's not really the case for this drama. Here, the heavenly king will help if fate allows. He just doesn't always help as fate is the thing that is supposed to determine what will happen.

Even though I am a fan of Cheng Yi after watching Love and Redemption, it seems like this is going to be another very serious drama. Could someone who has watched all the episodes released so far to tell me, is this heartbreaking like Love and Redemption, or is it a lighter drama? I might need to wait a while before watching this as many comments are talking about many sad parts of this drama. Thanks!
