Ramphueng is taking revenge on the wrong people. I get that it was wrong for Khem to lie, but he wasn’t the reason her son was killed. If anyone should’ve paid for their sins, it’s the wife how could she do that? Hem may have been the reason the order was given, but he truly thought he was saving her, not leading her to death.
