I think they will merge at some point. I saw a scene in the 3rd trailer where one of the, was injured and on the bed and the other was sending their energy to the other. They will probably merge before their marriage...the plot is intriguing though. I like that they are mixing in the magic part from the start instead of at the end like in season 1. It looks more cohesive.
I wonder where Mo Yi Huai fits in with all this though...
What I was able to gather was that there are 2 Mo Lian Chengs running around in the ancient time line. One of the them is using a face mask to look like the strategeist guy and the other Mo Lian Cheng is also falling for Qu Tan. If any one else can give a better summary, it will be much appreciated....
