PXR really gave us this year's best scene stealer characters of hers. Coincidentally both are women who wears violet as their assigned color: Jia Lan (Love in Pavillion, 2025) & Mu Yumo (Blood River, 2025). I hope these fantastic roles bring more project and traffic to Xiaoran 💜

I love how both Gong Jun and Peng Xiaoran are directly fated to meet in this project because they already shared the same series universe back then. Which is Foxspirit Matchmaker. GJ from season 1 and PXR as the iconic Jian Lan (black fox from S2 Foxspirit Matchmaker: Zhouye/Love in Pavillion). Which come to think of it, her role also wears purple garments in that show. Among PXR iconic characters she always slay in both red and purple.

She has very good chemistry with the whole cast especially during promotions. Her and Gong Jun gets along very well maybe because they're closer in age and that's why they're always laughing when together. There's this trending clip from one of their group promotions when GJ accidentally spit on PXR face while talking and GJ by instinct tried to wipe PXR's cheek and apologize while dying of laughter and embarrassment. PXR tried to downplay it and joked it's okay and replied "so refreshing" to further tease GJ and to make it feel more lighthearted. Even Chang Huasen and Zhang Shian couldn't help but be more outgoing when Xiaoran is around. She is older than the 3 of them after all, she's like the secret leader of the main cast. It doesn't help that all of their promotion clips for Blood River made it look like they're in a reverse harem relationship with PXR 😆💛

P.S: I also saw in weibo how most fans are calling her "ma" or "mom/mommy" because of this new role of hers. Exuding femme fatale, our lady in majestic violet Mu Yumo is indeed serving mother 💜👑🔥

Boi was he furious, as you could see every time, he was betrayed he doesn't care afterwards but when it was LSS/YXW that betrayed him he was so hurt and MAD! At those point only six nails dug into his heart (was supposed to be nine) so he so he somehow had learned to have emotions for a bit (mostly anger lol). He was so angry that he couldn't believe out of all people it would be LSS/YXW. He couldn't accept it. He hates her for hurting him but at the same time he has grown possessive of her at that point. He can't live without her and since his demon bones were still intact, so he doesn't understand love yet. So his way of not letting her abandon him is to torture her (those were the dark chapters man).

Actually, in the novel Li Susu was actually effin strong in a sense after everything else she never fell in love with him both during the mortal realm arc and even during that dream arc. She was hellbent on her mission. She never lost her focus/nor goal. She empathized with him. Learned to care and be sentimental for his well-being but she never lost sight of why she had to travel back in time. She has the essence of a cultivator/immortal after all (and quick spoiler: half goddess half demon origin). That's why I adored and admire this woman. She was selfless (complete opposite of TTJ) she had no desire for herself but for the greater good of the world. She gave up everything (damn those dark chapters man) to fulfill her mission. TTJ had to went through a lot for LSS to believe he really learned how to love and gain her forgiveness. LIKE A LOT. I was so sad for him dude lol all the pining and chasing. It was during the third arc, where TTJ became Cang Jiu Min and LSS just as herself that LSS was finally moved.

you should have read the whole novel then before saying this lol, Li Susu is one of the most mentally strong character I've ever met, especially for a female lead. Oceanstarjp already mentioned the reason why she had to go away.

broooooo thank God they did not included that scene god imagine Lou Yunxi consuming a rat? actually thank God, they did not include the part where he was almost sexually harassed as a KID! actually pre-Devil god TTJ was slimy as heck, he creeped me out when I was reading the novel in a convincing way but post no devil bone TTJ, I was going thru multiple emotional shift bro, I felt like going crazy. The fact they made Lan An's betrayal so dramatic in the drama, the director and scriptwriters' will kill us during their scenes in Jing Empire. LSS/YXW's betrayal was the final "nail" in the coffin, he can endure everybody's betrayal except hers. She was someone and the only one he longed for in his existence. The chapters when he was desperate to revive her and was literally dying of heartbreak. Maaaaan that was cruel.

dude the chapters throughout the end was my favorite, can't wait to meet their future kid! I hope they don't omit this one from the drama also Bingchang getting fucking tortured lol

I'm kinda scared and excited at the same time especially the you-know scene that almost made me stop reading it but fuck do I love a perfectly executed angst and tragic stories so I braved through it, I was ugly crying during the tower scene. I trust Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu to bring us to tears as well. It will break our heaaaaarts 🤧💔

What LSS/YXW is basically doing is altering the past to change the future since everyone is already dead. She was the only survivor left. She had the world on her shoulders. Actually, LSS is the biggest enigma in the story which juxtapose TTJ character which is already presented as in-your-face mysterious and dark. The plot twist in her origin will truly shock the drama viewers to the core. I believe it was in the trailer as well. I had goosebumps with that teaser dude. This adaptation actually follows the novel /source material quite religiously.

Yes, that's the reference, it was during their Aranya dream arc. So in that scene as you've seen in the first episode TTJ was baffled someone actually hit him. That was the first time they've met, he just called her "my lady" as a form of sarcastic mockery.

In the novel it was explained rather vaguely, but to put it in simple terms Ye Xiwu is like a shadow self of Li Susu just like Donghua Dijun's shadow self Shen Yi and Fengjiu's Alanrou in Pillowbook

Girl, the fact I signed up for an account just to respond to this, heck you have no idea how much torture porn we are going to endure in the next episodes especially once Tantai Jin becomes the Emperor of Jing, well that's how they were in the books. It was complicated in a way. I loved the novel and especially love this drama and how they adapt it. In the novel, although Li Susu/Ye Xiwu always protected and care for Tantai Jin, she kinda physically beats him a lot too bahahahahaha, he will let's say will be obsessed with these beatings that there's even a specific chapter where LSS/YXW almost beat him into a pulp and he still asked her to keep doing it. Anyway's let's enjoy the ride! They are the epitome of STAR CROSSED LOVERS. Lou Yun Xi was born to play Tantai Jin! (just like Li Cheng Yin and Qu Xiaofeng)
