missed opportunity
As someone who read the original manhwa, this adaptation had strong source material but didn’t fully capture it. For new viewers, it’s still a decent watch, but the original had a darker, more serious tone with faster pacing. In contrast, the drama felt slower and more lighthearted, which took away the unique melancholy tone and aesthetic of the source material. The casting was great and the series clearly had potential, but the creative direction ultimately felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, it’s enjoyable if you’re not comparing it to the original.
