just replying u to the last one, not clear on jiang chi did what the sister hinted or not. i would say yes, the sister even confirm with him during the ritual (the fake bind together or bless their together-ness and protection ritual) half way sis asked: u sure u done what i said? / what needs to be done. altho he didnt absolutely say yes, as was interrupted by small bro they would have find a reason to stop the ritual then becuz thats the criteria. and also last small bit seems that law student ML heard some stuff so yeah-- ritual worked so they defi did what they did =x
im not sure about this also and stuff: but last part look like as if they switch position the little bro became the ''yang'' anchor and the lawyer student became the one with his "third eye" half open / half sealed

semi open end its hinted how it ended but they never make it to the destination. it ended the scene looking quite nearly to a semi BE. i say semi becuz they still love each other.

really wish he never get caught. or maybe recording the last speech of the ML's mom and after he listen he forgave him. and maybe for the police ML he stop euthanizing becuz his lover is a police. or maybe extend the ending like after he get released from prison the police ML waited for his release and they reunited after he was released...
REALLY REALLLY unsatisfying ending D= altho they are driving in the car seemingly heading to the station but i still gonna pretend they didnt make it all the way to the station . he drive him home he confessed then they cry and have some makeup s*x T_T the end.
