I had to stop watching and skipped around many eps because of the ridiculous acting of Hwang Jung Eum. Everything I see her in, it's the same, over acting to an extreme. Plus there was no explanation of exactly how she was ugly? and what exactly happened to sung jun ? I stopped watching when Jung eum stuffed the pizza into her sister's face, a while slice, I mean just antics like that, I get that she's a character that does this sort of thing but it becomes boring. Oh, and she magically becomes pretty, never tried that before?
Watched this for PHJ and because I read the scenery was nice, it was a nice lil drama with about ten different genres, no overly annoying characters besides Oh Bo Mi. PHJ always with the super cute ways as a BF. The couple acted like a couple. Don't go looking for plot holes, you won't come back but it was fine if you're stuck at home.
Weird and creepy, I thought it would have some character development that would account go towards less creep, more relationship and stay with the slave theme, but nope. Stalker vibe remains. Binge worthy? I guess if you're stuck at home. Funny? Yes, if you can handle the creep vibes.
I forwarded through so many parts of eps, and then was sorta disappointed in the ending. Why do so many of the wives and exes always end up playing nice to the MIL who treated them so badly? What a letdown. As others have mentioned, the scenes with the Chung ah family, father seem like filler, same as the the scenes where I figured they were gonna pair up Seol Ah and Jin Woo again and leave poor Tae Rang in the dust. Truth is, I only finished watching cuz I'm in shelter in place because of the coronavirus and can't leave home and watching every drama in my watch list. desperate times.
A nice lil drama, with an ending that was open-ended and frustrating and left us with more questions than answers. We never did find out what happened to Cha Young during her youth and frequent hospital visits, we don't get to find out what happens to the brother who wants more brotherly to Kang, and there was entirely too much frivolous time on the evil grandmother that I was over and done within the first couple of episodes, too much time on the evil mothers too, especially Kang's mother, we get it, she was evil and controlling, he is never going to be able to get out of her shadow. Can we move on? No, I guess we can't. 7-
can't stand Cheong Ah moneyhungry father and sister, what is wrong with them, I skip most of the ep because of them. its just not enjoyable. their parts are silly and over the top. its like a drama has been infected with silly comedy that fails over and over again.
I read a few of these posts before starting, even the spoilers and I wish someone would have mentioned how said it was in the beginning and how it goes on and on. For someone who doesn't want to have to experience that, it might back a difference. I experienced a death in the family recently and was looking for a funny, uplifting kdrama or anything like that.
I thought I wouldn't like it. By like the 3rd ep, I was hooked -its FUNNY. No it's not the korean version and it looks like they had less of a budget, but I finished it in 3 days.
