what are you guys watching after OM ended? anything to soothe the mood? or something similar?
I don't think i can watch another k-drama after OM ended, at least for the time being. I am thinking of watch older korean romance classics, like "Christmas in August" or "One Fine Spring Day."
I know Our Movie is still underrated in Korea and hasn't had massive tv viewership , but regardless, I really hope the drama (and its cast) get recognized at the end-of-the year sbs drama awards and hopefully at the next baeksang awards as well~! The drama is too good to be overlooked~!
Absolutely love Jeon Yeobeen and Namgoong Min's portrayal of Daeum and Jeha in Our Movie. In Ep. 9, I feel like they perfectly embodied the fluttery, but still slightly awkward moments you have in the start of relationship. Every interaction between them felt so wonderfully natural. All I hope is that we get more of these sweet moments with Jeha and Daeum together~!
honestly the rain scene in ep 4 has to be one of the most legendary scenes in k-romance dramas to date. beautifully shot, beautifully acted. just pure perfection.
i'm so hooked on this drama already. i may have rewatched the scenes where jeha and daeum are talking like an unhealthy amount of times. Also, I know we're only two episodes in but I think this could potentially be my favorite drama (and couple) of the year for me~!
This is one of the best pilot episodes I've seen in awhile. The acting, cinematography, and music really shined in this episode and after the ending of the first episode, it made me curious as to who Je-ha and Da-eum were and how their dynamics would evolve.
Also, overall, I loved the chemistry of our two lead actors and their scenes together felt like a modern homage to classic 2000's Korean romance films. Really looking forward to seeing the complexity of emotions that the two lead actors will show as the story progresses~!
thank you to the director for casting namgoong min and jeon yeobeen! never imagined i would get to see them on-screen together and in a romance?? feels like a dream.
Absolutely loved this. Will probably rewatch it soon. The main trio were perfect. And the OST! Saw someone below…
I completely agree with you! I actually loved Yeobeen and Hyoseop's natural chemistry together (on and off screen). Also, based on their post-drama interviews, it seems they're both not only kind and respectful, but thoughtful actors who really put alot of effort into the portrayal of their characters in ATCY.
Just came on here to say this is such a delightfully wacky comedy and I wish it got more love (ratings-wise!) While I like my more serious dramas, and recently, there seems to be some good ones (like My Dearest and Moving), sometimes, you just want a drama that'll let you laugh. In my opinion, Han JiMin is giving one of the best comedic performances I've seen all year. And Lee MinKi's character, Jang Yeol, seems like he would be the typical tsundere cop, but he also has a hilariously petty side to him, that definitely makes him less than "typical."
I don't understand how the rating is so low~ This drama has had the funniest opening episodes I've seen all year. I love the quirky comedy and the eclectic characters. And I like the banter between the main leads. There's some elements of the drama that seem familiar (a fish-out of water detective finds himself in a small town, etc.) but it still feels refreshing somehow. Anyways I was already a fan of the director and writer's past works so I have high hopes that this drama will be the highlight of the weekend dramas for me! :)
