Title Record of Youth Spoiler
*spoiler* I just wanted to come on here and say the plotline of the gay fashion designer and his s*icide really was unescessary. As a member of the community, I truly am tired of lgbtq+ people being killed off for plot/for the main character's struggles. I understand the character was not listening to Hye-Jun and his request to respect his privacy/denial of feelings, but to have an entire plotline about gay rumors and how awful they are and then lead it up to said gay man's suicide is appalling. I understand South Korea is a completely different social climate and they have different values and do not particularly take kindly to most lgbtq+ folk, but that multiple episode plotline could have been taken out and replaced with something else. Its something I'll always remember this what could have been amazing drama for. I mean they knew this would also be on Netflix, right? For an international audience? And the writers *still* put that plotline in? C'mon.

the first half of this drama had so much potential! i was really thinking this would be one of my new favorite dramas on netflix. the main actors and overall cast did great with what they were given, but the plot just goes so off halfway in the show. it makes me so disappointed these wonderful actors and actresses were given such a lack luster tail end of a what could've been incredible show! its such a great concept with great visuals and a great ost, but the main problem is the plot like episode 8 (if im remembering correctly) and on and i will always tell people this when they ask me whether or not they should watch it ?

I'm only on episode 3 and I love it so much! So sad I'm finding it this late. Both the main characters are so interesting and likable so far and the set and costume design is so beautiful.

Title The Untamed
I cannot explain how much I //adore// this story (in all it's forms: novel, donghua, manghua, audio drama, all of the above) and how much I want this drama to succeed. 50 episodes seems like such a blessing and I am in love with the casting of Xiao Zhan as Wei Wuxian and Wang Yi Bo as Lan Wangji. Xiao Zhan just seems as if he was made for the role, he is Wei Wuxian in his mannerisms and facial expressions, lol. Jiang Cheng is great at his sulking and grumbling, spot on. The Lotus Pier is beautiful and everything I thought it would be. Even if there are flaws along the way, this will still probably be one of my favorite dramas of all time just from the simple fact of how invested I am in these characters. I'm not ready for the heartbreak to come, I've experienced it so many times already :'D

I'd also recommend the donghua if you enjoyed the drama (if you haven't already)! It's beautiful and season 2…
I'm sorry if I confused you! Donghua is basically Chinese anime, I should've just said anime. I was talking about season 2 of the anime. Here's a link to it: https://kissanime.ru/Anime/Mo-Dao-Zu-Shi

After reading all the comments, now i understand why i feel the bromance between those 2 main leads a bit extra…
I'd also recommend the donghua if you enjoyed the drama (if you haven't already)! It's beautiful and season 2 is coming out in August. It's called Mo Dao Zu Shi or Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.

Title Ashes of Love Spoiler
I've been watching this drama throughout the fall semester on YT whenever I had time and let me tell you, it was…
** SPOILER ADDITION **
One thing I will complain about that I was really waiting for was Jin Mi actually interacting with her mother somehow in the afterlife or in a dream or something. Just a few minutes of touching dialogue or them even side by side after so many people gush about how much they resemble each other! But alas, it never happened. Also, I really wanted Jin Mi to take up the role of Flower Deity, but again never happened. It didn't ruin my experience whatsoever, it was just something I thought of as the final episode credits rolled.

I've been watching this drama throughout the fall semester on YT whenever I had time and let me tell you, it was such a joyful, funny, beautiful, frustrating ride. So many misunderstandings between characters in this drama! The entire drama was stunning with its effects, costume design, and overall incredible world building. You really felt for the characters and the main couple had so much chemistry (I loved Deng Lun every second he was on screen). It's a long one, but it's so satisfying to see where these characters end up after you've invested so much time in them.

TMOPB was more on the heavy side from beginning to end and slow pace at first took me a long time to get into…
Oh, it's not similar at all? Wow, well I'm still giving it a watch from how highly people are rating it and how lovely it looks.
On Ashes of Love Aug 31, 2018
I'm watching this because it looks so much similar to Eternal Love and that is one of my top 10 favorite dramas. For those who have watched the most recent episodes, without spoiling, is this better than Eternal Love? The trailer looks incredible.

If you're doubting watching this drama, I would highly recommend watching it after completing it in just a week! My chest ached at how the people came together in this drama. The acting (Yoon Gyun Sang is one of my new favorite actors for his role as Gil Dong), main couple (loved every single one of their scenes), and plot makes this sit in my top 5 favorite dramas.

I thought I wasn't going to like this drama in the beginning due to Se Joo's attitude, but I immediately fell in love with all the characters, the different settings, and the plot. I think the show itself peaks at episode 9. If you're doubting watching this, I promise you it's worth it.
