A CASUAL WATCH BUT DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH..
My main reason for picking up this drama was the actor and the actress, I love them and was excited to see them together in this drama. The ML from "All of us are dead" really had my heart and this was my second drama of him. We are back to nine-tailed fox and the modern Korea through this crazy drama.
A one-time watch for the ML and the FL, but the story didn't stick that great! (personally for me)
It began strongly, the acting was superb, and with so many twists and turns at the start. Like the beginning episodes, never gave me a moment to breathe and it was just like watching on an edge. The characters are well-developed, it many be confusing at start to understand the plot and their real sides, but soon I got hold of it.
You will get to see the love bloom b/w the ML and the FL only after halfway of the drama. FL not wanting to be a human or falling in love, and ML being so full of himself and just wanting to switch back the fate, was a strong plot. It shows the real side of friendships, struggles, relationships and career. I found it a perfect mix of action and humour.
There were strong emotions, though at times I found it hard to decode true feelings of the characters or where the honesty lies, but gradually the drama and the story builds on. It may get boring sometimes, especially in the middle, but the ending again picks up.
I honestly didn't like the antagonist or the side plot going on, and some scenes were repetitive as in many fantasy K-dramas show this, like the FL coming back after her vanishing and the ML not forgetting anything about her. At times, it may get cliche but their acting was superb and the overall plot was okayish. It was not that melodramatic or successful in arousing those deep emotions, it is not something that will directly touch the viewers' hearts.
The pace drops in between and some scenes felt unnecessary. Or the bond that audience shares with characters was not given much chance to develop and the drama appeared to flew by like a breeze. It was a good timepass, the plot was decent, the acting carried it, but not that memorable or having a rewatch value.
