She's one of the older actors/actresses that are always a great addition to a drama. I think I've seen her in about 5 or 6 dramas by now and she always delivered a great performance!

Ah I keep thinking we're only at the halfway point and so much has already happened, I really hope the writers can keep up the pacing^^ Also I read yesterday that the actor playing the '92 version of Young Hoon has been caught drunk driving :/

Yes you can fangirl to me about Nine! I feel like advertising it to everyone because I like it a lot so I definitely wanna know if you like it as well^^ Just started watching Gu Family Book too and if the rest of the drama is as good as the first two episodes it'll be really awesome. They just showed the backstory so far but it was written really well!
And I just saw you finished That Winter already? That was fast xD What do you think about it?
I'm on ep 8 of King2Hearts now and I was so sad yesterday D: Looking back I probably should have expected the King to die but I totally didn't >.< He was one of my favourite characters so far...

Yes I liked Padam Padam a lot! The story is different from other melodramas cause there's also some supernatural elements in it but the best thing about it was definitely the cast! The drama isn't very fast paced though and has a kind of dark atmosphere but you should see for yourself if that bothers you^^
Just finished watching ep 9 and 10 of Nine... Why do they always end with such strong cliffhangers >.<

I also used to wait until a drama is finished before I watch it but I was so excited about some of the dramas this year that I watched as soon as they aired. And it's actually not bad cause I can actually think about what happened while I have to wait for the next episode^^
Nine is definitely my favourite of the year so far. The backstory is more interesting than other time travel dramas imo because the main guy travels into his own past instead of some century way back in the past that has no direct relation to him so there are a lot more risks for him. The drama starts out a bit slow but from ep 4 on there are cliffhangers at the end of nearly every ep so maybe it's better to watch it all at once^^
That Winter was a good drama imo. Not perfect but visually it's really beautiful!

I also wouldn't have been surprised if one of the main characters had died. Although I was a bit confues when Moo Chul died because it was so sudden and it didn't really contribute anything to the story. But all in all it was definitely a great drama^^
Have you watched Padam Padam? Kim Bim was really good in that too, I actually liked him more than the main characters^^

I started King2Hearts this weekend and it's really promising so far! It seems to have a solid plot and I prefer that to dramas that are only about the romance cause a lot of them tend to drag near the end... And I already think the villain is very interesting cause he doesn't seem to be in his right mind instead of just being evil.
Have you heard of the drama Nine? It's from the same writers that made Queen In Hyun's Man and it's so awesome, I'm always impatient for the next episode to air^^

That's so true. I have so many dramas on my ptw list it's really difficult to decide what to watch next when I finish one drama^^
I see you've also watched That Winter! What did you think about it?
Tbh I was a little annoyed with Young's behaviour sometimes, like when she suddenly forgives Oh Soo and Secretary Wang as if they've never done anything wrong... But all in all it was a great drama and visually it was really beautiful! And I hope Kim Bum is gonna get a main role soon^^

Hi~ thanks for accepting! And that's great to hear^^ The Chaser is such an underrated drama internationally but it's really awesome! Queen Seon Deok has a lot of episodes but imo it's definitely worth the time. Not to mention it has one of the best villains you'll find in K-dramas^^
I see you also have King2Hearts in your favourites... I still haven't watched it cause there's so many dramas I want to see but I guess I should really try that one soon cause I've heard a lot of good things about it^^
I'm a Cyborg is such a great movie, I've watched it several times already! The Crucible sounds very interesting and I'm in the mood for something more serious so I'll definitely watch it soon.
All in all I agree with your list. Except that I can't really imagine Junsu in a drama. But who knows maybe I'm just too used to seeing him in musicals...
Changmin's acting in Paradise Ranch wasn't that good. I really want to watch the Japanese movie he starred in because I think he's better at portraying more serious characters. Havent watched Yawang but imo Yunho's acting in Heading to the Ground improved a bit throughout the series but the plot annoyed me too much tbh...
I loved Jaejoong in Heaven's Postman and he was one of the few characters I even cared about in Dr. Jin. Yoochun's acting in Missing You was kind of awkward in the first episodes imo cause you could see that he was acting but he improved a lot. I hope he'll choose a more comedic role next time, I'd really like to see him play a less serious character!

I liked Joo Won's character too! He was immature at times but he and YOung Soon are my favourite characters from the show. And I have to admit I was distracted by JJ cause he's really good looking xD
But the chemistry between the leads wasn't great, not to mention that she basically freaked out whenever he touched her. And that after they started dating >.<
I also wanted to know what happened to JJ. And they didn't even include a scene where the agents find out that Choi Woo Hyuk died. I mean they were basically searching for him during the whole drama so how is that not important...
Oh I just finished watching the drama Special Affairs Team Ten and I can totally recommend that. There's no romance but the police detectives are actually good at doing their job and the cases are written very well^^

Yes he probably didn't think too much about using the incense sticks but now that he saw what kind of effects it can have he'll probably think more carefully about it.
Level 7 Civil Servant was not that great imo. It's not like I didn't enjoy watching it at all but the plot and how the characters acted (especially Seo Won and Sun Mi) kind of annoyed me. Also the bad guys were planning their revenge for 20 years and that plan is all they could come up with? Maybe I was expecting too much from the spy part of the story but I think even if it's just a rom com the writers could have tried to make the plot a little more realistic What did you think about it?^^
Thank you. Been looking for a list like this and totally agree on all 4 dramas, although I have yet to watch Rooftop…
You should try watching Rooftop Prince! I didn't think it was silly but in the first half there are a lot of funny moments because the 4 guys have to get used to modern time. I actually wish it would have stayed more comedic in the second half but it got more serious towards the end.
Great article! I really need to see more dramas with strong females and added the first one to my ptw list.
Some other strong female leads that come to my mind are Bong Soon from Iljimae, obviously Kim Sam Soon and both Se Ryung and princess Kyung Hee from The Princess' Man. Does Mishil from Queen Seon Duk count as female lead? She's probably one of the strongest villains ever in K-dramaland.

Yes Lee Jin Wook is really good! Haven't seen anything else with him but I'll definitely watch the second season of I Need Romance. I really liked the first one and since he's in the second season that's a plus^^
And I agree Young Hoon is a really great friend to Sun Woo; he believed him so easily about the time travelling^^ I love that the characters in this show actually talk about things and don't hide everything and suffer alone like in other dramas!
