@Pincolino I agree on the scene when Knock was drunk woke up Fai next to him. When Korn packing his cloth and told Knock to go home. Knock refuses it because he doesn’t want to face the hurt, the pain again. Tul’s acting is excellent on this part here because I can see how hurt and painful he is on the inside despite he’s pretend laughing on the outside. Good Job Tul.

@jadea I, too, do have high standards when comes to any movies, not just BL series. The only “high standard” BL movies that I’ve seen are “Brokeback Mountain 2005” by Ang Lee and “Happy Together 1997” with awesome acting by Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung with great directing Wong Kar-wai.
I agreed on what you pin point out the “mistakes” on this Next Chapter. And I do have the same thought as well. I don’t like the idea that the series started out in a fan fiction world wrote by fan girl either. It’s too cheesy and unnecessary. The director could have started out by something different like this, for example : Korn is dreaming to see Knock wakes up, cook breakfast , bring it to bed, then they have intimacy sex right there. All the sudden Korn wake up from his dream to see Knock is laying beside him but still asleep IN REALITY. So then Korn have to get up first and takes care of Knock, and iron his cloths. The director could have Ep1 started out by Korn wish in his dream that Knock takes care of him (when in reality Korn takes care of Knock), or something like that or try different new idea. However the kiss part is very hot and sexy, I still see the chemistry between Max-Tul in that kiss though. The only good thing in Next Chapter is that Max-Tul’s kisses had “leveled up” from TWM and Bad Romance.
After all of your pin points, So basically it comes down to the script at fault. I felt like the writer is OUT OF IDEAS or something. I DO BLAME ON THE SCRIPT-WRITER for making the series go down. I don’t blame on Max-Tul or other casts , although Max-Tul chemistry is not electrifying in Next Chapter as in TWM but there is still chemistry between Max-Tul, at least it’s still better than some other BL couples that I’ve seen. Anyway, what you pointing out I have the same thoughts too. When they announced 3rd season is coming out, I felt like “ they doing it too fast, are they sure they have the script written out well yet?” Moreoever, they finished shooting the series in only 2 months, I think the whole production, including the director and script-writer did a poor job on script and BAD PREPARATION as a hole. These things affect the series Next Chapter to go down, as we are witnessing.
I am waiting for the new ideas and see how the writer develop the story of Korn-Knock. Sometimes I wonder, can the actors, like Max and Tul, can they add their ideas to character Korn-Knock or script too. Who knows, Maybe theirs ideas might be better than the writer’s original ideas. I think in this Next Chapter , the director is showing the Korn-Knock relationship to more reality love not the “dreamy lovely high school teen”. I’m a 22 yr. old girl , so the cheesy highschool lovely-dove stuff is NOT for me. I like the more relastic kinda of love, similar to Ennis-Jack in “Brokeback Mountain 2005”. So I think TWM is still pretty good. At least much better than Bad Romance. I’m hoping Next Chapter is better than Bad Romance. In the case of Korn-Knock relationship, if you’re in a relationship for 2-3 years, the physical sex is kinda fade off, but the emtional feeling is still strong. However, one flaw thing that I found is K-K lacks of communication for a 3-year relationship. I hate to see they making Next Chapter is Bad Romance all over again. This is my worst fear. Let’s hope that they do realize that mistake and not make any more.
By the way, I have a friend who is having similar problem like Korn-Knock. My friend is 35yrs old and is gay in closeted. He secretly dating his boyfriend for 2 years. His parent wanted him to marry and have kid. His parents don’t know he is gay though. For family’s sake, so he broke up with his boyfriend and marry some girl that his parent introduced. They later have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. However, he don’t feel happy at all of his marriage. He told me that he regretted for braking up with his ex boyfriend and still loves him to now. What worst, his ex boyfriend never date anyone since they broke up, and he had died due to brain damage in a car accident. This is REAL story folks. How sad is that. My friend who now is 40yrs old. And still don’t find happiness in his marriage. He still married though because he stayed married for this children’s sake. (I feel sorry for his wife, who don’t know her husband is gay in closeted). Reality is NOT DREAMY LIKE IN MOVIE GUYS!!
So I give this Next Chapter a chance to see how the development go from there. I like relastic relationship than lovely-Dovey one.

@Pincolino I think the story-plot in TWM is good too, it’s much better than in Bad Romance for sure. To me, I prefer to see “bulky” guys in BL, just like “Brokeback Mountain 2005” Korn-Knock are just like Ennis-Jack. Muscular guys can be gay too. Not all gays are girly-girl or feminine weak. In fact, I hate to see a girly-girl guy acts like he is a girl or something. I cringed when seeing that part. Yeah, the script of Sotus or Love by Chance is better than TWM. However Max-Tul’s chemistry is much better than Singto-Kirst (Sotus) and Perth-Saint (Love by Chance). I’m afraid that Next Chapter will not be as good as TWM. Similar happen to in Sotus S is not as good as Sotus.

Why there so many negative reviews here. Geez, people are being TOO HARSH or something. To me, I liked it so far and genuinely enjoyed all three episodes. In my opinion, it is the script writer’s fault for writing so weak of a story line, there so many awkward pauses and less conversations involved. The director over used the sound effects too much it become annoying. Unlike the strong story plot in Together With Me. But all in all, this Next Chapter is still enjoyable and portrayed some sweet romantic scenes between Korn-Knock and Cho-Yihwa. The phone chat between Korn-Knock in Ep3 is adorable sweet because although Knock is still mad and upset at Korn but he still answered Korn’s phone chat. It shows that both guys are still love each other very much even when they’re fighting.
In this Next Chapter, One thing the overall message from whole series is trying to deliver is “Time Change; People Change.” Or “Nothing lasts forever except Love”. I guess the script-writer is trying to tell us that ‘Life is not prefect’’, the series is going toward more of relastic perspective, which you faces many problems. This series is no longer a high school teenage boy love with lovey-dovey anymore. The series is trying show love relationships close to reality. I truly enjoyed and laughed at Korn-Knock parts. Although Next Chapter is not as great as TWM but it certainly better than Bad Romance. Why people rate it so low. It deserves higher than 7.3.
I think Ep3 is where the actual starting plot here. It was not as bad as in ep2. Ep1 and ep3 were good. Ep2 is kinda boring. Like how the script-writer created 2 opposite parents. Knock’s parents, who seems to understand and support the lgbt. Whereas Korn’s parents who, especially the Korn’s dad, seems to disgust lgbt. Let’s see how the 2 parents get along from there. I felt sorry for and poor Knock, having kicked out by Korn for 1 week. The series had progressed slowly into good direction. They move on from Bad Romance phase, THANK GOD!! Hopefully the story-plot don’t ruined Max-Tul’s chemistry because IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY WASTED!! Love how they used Tul’s soundtrack/song from TWM again in this Next Chapter. Tul had beautiful and lovely voice. I’m hoping LinTV have Tul sing a new song again in the 3rd season like how he did in first two seasons. Hopefully Korn-Knock have happy ending (K-K BETTER HAVE HAPPY ENDING or I WILL SUE LineTV!!!! )
