As for nice male leads in kdramas: I'd say Louis in the currently airing rom-com Shopping King Louie (highly recommended!); Hogoo's Love for the precious beta male lead, excellent acting, and a great story, uncommon for kdramas, a rom-com in a sense as well; never forget Park Bong Soo in Healer!; Plus Nine Boys and three clueless guys, though I prefer Kim Young Kwang's character and his hidden depths - despite being a jerkwad in flashbacks; Mirror of the Witch protagonist is a nice guy through and through, I'd even say Choi Young in Faith under his terse commands, to continue with the fusion sageuk theme, and Lee Jun Ki's character in Arang and the Magistrate; perhaps even Eric's protagonist in Another Oh Hae Young - he was gruff and unapproachable but not a jerk (though with bouts of noble idiocy).
As for jdramas, not really a big fan, but I adore the wacky Yankee-kun to Megane-chan. Shinagawa was never not nice! (I guess, though I confess sometimes some dramas just grab me despite their many flaws and never let me go).
