the beauty in simplicity
I had to write something about this after watching it—it completely changed the way I was seeing things. Even though it’s fictional, the way everything is portrayed feels incredibly real. Jae Won’s mental health and the way Ji Hyun perceives things and matures throughout the 10 episodes really stood out to me.
The highlight is the way they connect. They don’t need words, gestures, or actions to understand each other. So much happens in the last four episodes, and even though I felt irritated at times (because the drama does cause that), Ji Hyun always understood everything Jae Won was feeling or going through without needing much explanation. If I were in his place, I would’ve given up for much less.
My favorite episode was episode 9—it gave a whole new meaning to the Conan Gray song for me.
Despite some frustrating moments, I would watch it again and again. I didn’t understand when people used to talk about this BL, but now everything makes total sense.
It’s not just a drama, it’s a feeling. I wish I could forget it just to watch it again and feel everything all over.
