To add to the list of praise: spasibo (thank you, for the multiple-language-disinclined)! Just finished the series, as a convinced binge-watcher had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. Loved the extra material you dug up, especially the "making of" and music links.
Having such an article is a great way to "cool down",don't know how much work it was (quite a lot I guess), but it's much appreciated. Now on to YT and watch some behind the scenes stuff...

Beyond excellent review. We could post this as an example of how to review:

1. No spoilers (thank you, thank you, thank you)
2. In depth discussion of the main elements of a review, production, cast etc
3. Background information, loved reading about the source material, but also about the actors
4. Useful notes on the OST

In a word: wow!

If I had to nitpick, I don't like the paragraph: The CGI effects... It ends kind of weird. But it's such a small thing, I would review the review a 10/10

Thank you! I actually just finished Love O2O which is on the list, to put it nicely the show was... below average.…
Yes! O2O gets such high ratings, but then ... well I looked it up, I could just repeat your review. Never noticed the audio issue, though, made a note to check it out. You never know when you might need an extra nail in the coffin. Respect for noticing such a(n important) detail.
Considering that most of your reviews are (deservedly) negative, I am a bit worried you might dislike your current 1, 2 and 3, it has happened that I enjoyed something until somebody pointed out a flaw, and after that it became so obvious it was hard to ignore. (Still) Looking forward to it!

Pretty good list, but they all (mostly) seem to fall in the same kind of category. Looking at your reviews you probably won't blindly pass out 10's. Looking forward to scathing or praising reviews!

umm, I don't think up/down voting is a good idea. Because there are shows that we want to vote more than others…
Up/down-voting is a better implementation of "wisdom of the crowd", it shows popularity, and it makes everybodies "vote" equal. They either like it, or not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisdom_of_the_crowd

We all use the grading system differently, so it's hard to compare votes, unless you "know" the person, and compare it to other series they graded.

But, although MDL is not perfect, it's still a great site, for me (other people's) personal lists and reviews are just the bees knees ;-)

This just shows that rating shows with numbers doesn't really work. Everybody seems to have their own idea what numbers mean. Personally I like the way Reddit does it: up-vote / down-vote, give gold and comments. This makes it pretty obvious what "people" like or not. Combined with favorites from friends this is all you really need to know if series is recommended:

If everybody hates it, then it's probably not very good, otherwise, read the comments, those usually are a good indicator. Some people write excellent reviews, and they are the reason I either watch something or not. Long live the (good) reviewers! (And grades are meh)

Review Run On
Wondered why you only gave it a 7, but looking at your scores I must agree. It was a nice series, but the rewatch value is indeed a bit low.

Well written! Missed the business heading. Half of the people living in South-Korea are long-lost children waiting to inherit vast fortunes in unnamed business empires. If not, then they met those same people when they were young. At least one of them lost his or her memory. All of this sounds stupid, but is highly entertaining to watch :-)
