16 episodes now, bruh it so good but the male lead somehow is managing to control his thirst while the fl keeps teasing him comment sections be like "JUST KISS HER ALREADY" "HOW CAN U HOLD BACK" lol. There's gonna be more kisses later though. Apparently that scene on the bed they did kiss while filming but that take didn't get in cuz director thought it was weird. (If i rmbr right it wasn't in the script either LOL)

Rather than delusional, I would say he's desperate.
(The rest of this is just because I wonder if anyone else sees it this way, and if not, I wanna share a peek into why I find it a pity what they've done to Cang Qi in terms of screen time etc. Im gonna read the book after this series probably)

To him, she was the only warmth and light in his life. Before her, he didn't know what love or warmth was. He was abandoned and looked down on by his family, tortured and humilated by the country he was sent to as a hostage prince. When he was about to be turned into immortality pills (obv not gonna work but the Emperor be crazy), she saved him and set him free. She also saved him multiple times. No one in the world cared for him, yet she cared.

Ok Idk if that kinda helped to explain my view...but that's why he fell for her and wants so badly to be with her and strike down those who attempt to kill her. His idea of killing the entire Tangmen sect may seem too much. But when you consider how much she means to him in the context of his life, you get an idea of why he's so crazed. The other members of that sect may just have been taking orders, but no one is innocent. They all tried to kill her, which to him this is unforgivable. She is the light of his life. Then there's the other sects in the good ol' jianghu who wanna kill her out of jealousy of her skill and might, and want to learn her secrets to her power, (which they don't know they can't learn/make use of even if they tried) Cang Qi hates them. It's not hard to think why though, if we recall the same mob that he faced in the form of princes, royalty, etc. He knows too well what it's like to face abuse etc in the name of justice or supposedly just reasons. And the fact that they view her as an evil when to him she's as righteous as can be, is unbearable.

After typing all this I realize that this may not convince you that he's not as crazed as he seems. But I hope it helps a bit? I wanna close off with a bit of food for thought that while to some of you or maybe even majority of the viewers, this all may still seem overboard, Cang Qi essentially had no family. His family gave no love, no care, nothing, just pain. To him, Ye Xi is the closest to family he has. His viciousness stems from his experiences combined with Ye Xi constantly in danger. He finally found his light and reason to live, now he wants to give it his all to protect her. But one thing I find sad is he doesn't know self love. He could die for her. I really hope he learns to care for himself and also how to interact less crazed with her .

the book is like that, I hope the series ends like that. But in the series so far, the girl has no interest to Cang Qi, it's just him one-sidedly going all out for her.

I feel like they won't go the route of the book which is kinda sad. In the book it's all 3 of them in the end. But based on posters and current progression, I feel like they only have Ye Xi and Bai Yue together. If it ends up like that Imma be like so one guy x n girls be ok, but one girl x 2 guys aint ok...

looks like it but im not too sure. like the clothing of the girl on the cover looks like Tang dynasty style, but that style was also worn in the Song dynasty...they prob said it in the beginning if anything but I zoned out 🤣

there's no synopsis, but ill give u a brief one:
FL goes to an island to attend a storytelling gathering that only invited 7 people. She doesn't have an invitation, and forces the ML to get her in. Together they pretend to be a married couple. But not long after the stories start to be told,(I forgot if there was 5 or 8 or how many stories total) amongst the 7 guests, people start to die one by one...to get off the island they must solve the mystery stories. Yet as each story ends, another person dies.

I never thought of this pairing, excited to see how it goes.
