It's never smart to do it like that. You're better off doing proper surgery and recovery. After injuries like that you need surgery ASAP. My bro tore his ACL and didn't have it diagnosed properly somehow for 2 years. Then got surgery. (Then he didn't do recovery right)
Recovery is always first priority. You may not always get the right diagnosis too. Even the best in their fields misdiagnose or miss the main issue sometimes.
