I think they hinted at it having a love story, but I'm baffled by the idea that Thai history might not be interesting outside of Asia?? I'm from Europe and admittedly I don't know much about Thai history, but that only makes the film more interesting to me, even if it ends up not featuring a love story. People should engage with stories and cultures from all over the world, and there's plenty of people outside of Asia who are excited for this film.

yikes can you not use lesbophobic words to describe the girls maybe? and others already told you it's not being gay that the parents had a problem with, but Pran specifically. as for gay people staying closeted and hiding relationships from their family - absolutely still happens irl. source: me, a closeted lesbian in her mid 20s.

And what does that have to do with anything? Laws are man-made and can change at any moment, and they often allow for truly despicable things (slavery etc); this has nothing to do with Europe; if you think that an adult should be in a sexual/romantic relationship with anyone of that age then I hope you stay safe from adults who could abuse that (if you're a minor) or stay away from minors if you're an adult.

Ok, thanks for the explanation! I see the whole thing is more complicated than it seems from a short summary. Does the teacher know that the other guy is actually older than he seems? Either way, I think I'll skip the book and maybe check out the drama once it airs.

I'm new to this story and I have a question, I see it's very popular so I wanted to read it but at least here the summary says one half of the relationship is a 16 year old? :/ Is this a romance between a teenager and his adult teacher, and if so, does anyone know if their ages will be changed in the LA so they're both adults/the same age?
