Title Plage
I liked how it portrays the characters struggle to re-adjust to society with their 'criminal' label, but I wish it had been more creative on the nature of the their crimes, other than just making them either done out of (excessive) self defense or accidentally got caught up in some bad deal. By framing the characters as misfits fighting againts society's prejudices and not showing the gravity of their crimes beyond how it effects their own life, I feel like we don't get to see the whole picture of the matter to weigh comprehensively whether people who did crime can continue to live their life normally or not after they paid jail time and how society should treat them. The subplot about the allegedly false accused tenant provided some needed variation, but the truth regarding his case makes me wonder what novel emotional spectrum could've been explored if a certain person was the MC and we see things from that uniquely positioned character's perspective instead.
