I don't hate her, I just think she isn't a very good actress. She has improved a bit in Rookie Historian, though. Maybe she's been taking acting lessons.

Review Valid Love
My reaction to this drama was exactly opposite yours. I was intensely annoyed by Il Ri for four episodes and nearly dropped the show. Then the family character development began, and I loved the careful and astute exploration of all the family relationships. As you say, it did have the flavor of a Russian novel. My drama discussion group has never had such intense, impassioned debates as we did about this show. But the end! Oh, we all hated it so much! It invalidated all that had gone before, destroying what had been so carefully built over the previous episodes.

Review Ho Goo's Love
This review is on point. I gave the show a 10, which I rarely do, but must in fairness acknowledge the quibbles about the plotting. This drama was excellent. I'm off to see the Queen of Office, written by the same person who wrote this and Flower Boy Ramen Shop.
