I know some people in the comments of the streaming sites I watched this on were annoyed by the back and forth and constant pain even though our leads obviously loved each other. But such is the life of a concubine, and such are the restrictions on a King, especially a King with a family background like King Jeongjo's. I prefer bittersweet and painful historical dramas to overly optimistic ones. Yes, I may be a masochist...
I only saw him in Move to Heaven and wondered where the hell such a superb actor had been hiding. I then was reminded of the hilarious interview he had with Jessi. To be honest, all this information about him is surreal. It's always the underdog - that has so much hard work and notches on their belt - that takes time to shine. I'm glad he is receiving popularity and the spotlight. He deserves it.
