I love how they accurately depicts mental illness and how it affects the characters/those around them. The ML slowly works on things and it's not a "he's instantly cured!" type scenario, also, how he sought help which tends to be taboo.

I liked it right up until the end when it got dark (the divorce) and the end didnt make up for it. It seemed like she had to convince him to show himself at the end rather than him going to her because he loved her. This whole idea of I'll save her from this when she didn't want that and didn't even divorce him is bs. They lost the romance and it still felt heartbreaking at the end.

There are a lot of negative posts but I enjoyed this drama. It's slow but I find most Chinese dramas to be slow... Here are some of the things I really liked: 1) the FL had a backbone, was true to herself and her career 2) The secondary love interests never do anything malicious and accept what makes the others happy which a major win from the regular tropes 3) It's a slow burn for the main relationship but it seems more real that way 4) The OST is amazing. <3

Around episode 29-30, it's a really slow romance.

I'm not normally one for historical or period type dramas but this just kept me watching. I love the back and forth with the leads and the interesting writing. The only thing I can complain about was it was very slow and they could have paced things a lot better.

Although this was very slow paced and the ending was a bit weak, I found it to be a good watch. There was a lot of great acting in there and it managed to make me cry a tear or five. :)

Jojo had a lot going on and emotionally she had reached her limit, she didn't want to feel anymore. She turned on the blocker to fake that she felt nothing for Sun Oh... Jojo mentions that she traded her feeling nothing by hurting Sun Oh. At least that's what I got from it.

I found the first half great for the main couple but the second half felt like it was mostly other couples and tropes. Irritating.

I agree. I also hated how Gao Mu kept saying "blame me" when it was not him but his father or her scheming. Grrr.

I was so mad I wanted to throw my remote through the TV. >.>

I loved that they portrayed how people reacted differently to traumas in their life and how difficult it can be to work through that. It was also great to see the spotlight on a few characters struggling with being homosexual and coming out. It was very multifaceted, with all this they still managed to keep it light and comedic. It's not perfect but I had a lot of fun watching it.

I also think think JR's Mother was instrumental in causing a lot of the havoc between them. If she hadn't rushed things and let things just progress the way they wanted it to happen then ZZ might have been more open to figuring things out. I think what ZZ's parents said would have been correct, if she had married into the family it would have been all about JR and his Mother's wants and needs, not ZZ.

I think you nailed it. I found this to be more realistic on how relationships work, right down to the idea of fantasy relationships versus the reality of them. I still wish they had spent less time on the second ML's story though, the love story at the end was too rushed and out of nowhere.

I wasn't a big fan of the ML and the romance felt really awkward. The rest of the cast was really great and rounded things out nicely. I felt like the story could have been better and in parts it dragged, overall I still liked it and cried at the end.

Not really, he's more of a side character that really doesn't get much of a story. It's sad because I would have loved to see more of his story.
