As someone else suggested elsewhere, let's hope it's either a new local crush or Em himself with a different id under Name's mom's plan to get her son to move on, and relieve Em of the burden of commitments he clearly can't keep with Name.

I have a feeling it'll come to a cruel halt and they may have to introduce a new local crush for Name. Too late for any further character development. They'd probably just leave Name's story hanging with a positive 'hope'.

Agree. They couldn't have stereotyped Champ more - A studious high-school kid stays true to his one-dimensional life style of books books books / parent's validation. And what is the point of Nam's character? Only for the wheelchair girl sob-story?

You've got some very well articulated thoughts and suggestions in there. Really shows your experience with a similar situation (as you said). Must be very hard. Just wanted to say I empathize. Also shows the lack of experience on the show writer's part. They may have created a character with good intentions but without enough appreciation on how to handle its development. They made a victim out of him. I may not call the writing insensitive but definitely regressive. Little lazy on the research.

So all the guys have been in Uni for 2-3 years and not once has either of them gone home? Some (or their parents) owned cars, right? And all these years Name is still super-mute and depressed? If his character was created to give such unfortunate kids a voice/representation in shows, then why does he continues to be a pity-party? Was the goal to highlight his struggles or his victimhood? And as if that scenario wasn't burden enough on the audience, they put Nan's girl on a wheelchair. Oh bummer! There audience, deal with that! Also, Gun/Golf...we get it..it's like 'You've got Mail'. But come on, so much time together...your Mr. Number 8 secret shouldn't be even relevant anymore. Had they gotten together like 4 episodes ago, it could have been a saving grace for this 'BL' show.
