Title Cheer Up!
The show is pretty tightly edited which is great for a 12 episode drama. If they keep it up, this could go down…
One, it is not silly at all. The only extracurricular activity that Soo Ah had on her resume was the study club, The White Tigers, which would not add anything to the school involvement section of her resume. Two, I think it is an exaggeration to say that they are putting cheer-leading on a pedestal. They simply chose cheer-leading because it is not something that does not exist in many South Korean schools and would, therefore, make her stand out among other applicants. Furthermore, like I said, captaincy and winning a competition is in fact something that will give you an advantage no matter the club (for Soo Ah, it is a HUGE advantage as she is only involved in The White Tigers at school). In addition, when preparing to apply to an Ivy/Ivey League school, the recruiters do in fact state that they prefer someone who has accomplished something significant, during their time in a club, over those who just simply do a bit of everything. They literally state that there is no point in joining a club if you do not do anything significant while in the club. Two, I stand by what I said. Although it is something that you and I may find ridiculous in our countries, it is and may be something that exists in South Korea. I will not deny that some things may be exaggerated, but I would not dismiss the fact that a group of moms are able to storm into the school whenever their children call.

One, cheer-leading, or any other school club related alternative for that matter, will actually help to beef up one’s resume; therefore, on top of Soo Ah’s already excellent specs and impressive resume, it is a fact that cheer-leading will indeed give her an additional advantage for getting into an Ivy League school. Furthermore, the chance of her getting in will increase even more if she is the captain and has won a competition. Two, the amount of influence that the parents have on both the principal and the school board, due to how wealthy and powerful they are, is, unfortunately, the reality of South Korea, rather than a plot hole. Although it is something that you and I may find ridiculous in our countries, it is something that exists in South Korea. As well, from what I see, the parents do not necessarily have any influence at all on the education board, considering both them, and the principal, did not want the board to know that they were collaborating to create specs for those certain students' resumes. If anything, it is a matter of seniority, where, if I remember correctly, the school’s president is the board director’s high school senior.

haha, well I'm the type that has to finish things so, instead of dropping them, I put them on hold until I feel like watching them. I mean it says that I'm watching a lot at once, but I'm really not. I just keep them on the list to watch whenever and I add in ones that I want to start watching for later~

LMAO. Easy. I just watch the first episode when they first air and then watch an episode the next week if I'm free. It's like how you guys were able to watch so many animes. And if I fall behind, I just marathon it on the weekend. I'm like really behind now though so I just watch whichever one I find interesting and want to finish first.

Lol, it's actually not that much. It's about 12 dramas a year? I've watched dramas for almost 3 years now so yeah, you just get to watching them eventually, especially if it's summer break.
