Without delving into novel spoilers, what you've written is bascially everything the drama has given to us so…
hahaha RIGHT ok I thought I missed something. thank you! any thoughts on the emperor? unless it's a big spoiler? he just seems like a puppet afraid of chancellor Wei
its ok I understand you. I just pushed through and finally finished after a month whew.
definitely. mo li's villain arc could've been set up a lot better, to add the uncomfortable empathy the audience usually feels for other villains. their chemistry was good imo but again, rushed and almost random without them showing the gradual development and greater sense of trust and understanding. are you watching generation to generation? That is currently filling my schedule rn, and pursuit of jade. both are so so fun, and I do think they will have happy endings so I'm like super invested in each episode. Doesn't hurt that the cast is also beautiful lol

omggg hahaha did you rlly speed through it?! how do you like the way it ended? The part that bothered me the most was how it was a happy ending, with her reaching immortality and then reuniting with he who was dead lol BUT it's not REALLY a happy ending bc literally everybody else dies. Like yeah, the leads are happy, but how can they be truly if their friends and family are all gone? I've watched so many cdramas, and I know historical ones are notorious for killing off beloved characters but ive never seen one where they legit kill off the whole cast LOL I just needed to rant about that a little bit. and then ask how you feel about it.
Ooooo what are the other two you are watching? I thought of generation to generation, not sure what the other…
hah yep ofc generation to generation! I've been saving the episodes since Thursday so I can binge it tomorrow :D the other is coroner's diary, after having finished moonlight mystique and wanting to see more of rui Peng!
can someone pls explain the political part? always so confusing I can see Grand Tutor Li and Chancellor Wei are the two influential people of court, but they clearly hate each other. Wei is an uncle to Yan Zheng, but he knows he's the one who tried to kill him. Li's grandson is the one investigating in ChangYu's village, but he seems cunning enough to have recognized Marquis wu'An without even knowing what he looks like. We also met Wei's son who talks with He Jing Yuan aggressively, but who is HJY? Whose side is he on? And the friend who brought over his paperwork, from the academy. who is that? Any other small details would be appreciated, if necessary!
ok so I JUST started because I kept seeing reels, and then I logged into Netflix and saw it on my homepage... so I took it as a sign from God lol I was hesitant because im watching two other historical cdramas, and tbh all the names and families and political jargon makes me so confused already with ONE cdrama, only for me to be juggling three at once. I'm glad I started though, im only halfway in the first episode and her beauty is unmatched WOW she is so stunning! I've never seen a drama with her before, but she looks like a legit fairy. and ofc ZLH, we all know that already. I think this is a new obsession of mine. 😮💨
apparently the ML dies after suffering from a mental illness, and after he dies our FL is traumatized and also faces mental issues... so yeah. a pass from me
Same here. I'm on episode 5 and Bai Shou is blaming other people for her father's death. Isn't it all because…
yeah and he just finished filming his new drama with Shen yu jie, who played his cousin in coroner's diary so im looking forward to that :) are you set on finishing MM or is it still hard 🥲

came back to see how far you are hahahah I see you're taking your time 😂 is it hard to finish I think I had to overcome three times I wanted to drop it lol
I watched both shows back to back but enjoyed lot more MM overall. Maybe because of lot more episodes or idk why…
ashes of love was definitely a while back, but I think at the time of its release it was so original and really really loved by the audience bc of the acting and storyline and twists... unfortunately Deng lun is practically retired after his scandal, but if I had to choose, MM had a lot of aspects that made me angry and wanting more. Ashes of Love did as well ofc but looking overall, I remember actually anticipating each episode whereas I found myself trying rlly hard to finish MM
no frI caved in to watch the previews for 24-26 but man. I think I have to skip tomorrow bc idk how I can wait…
its sooo hard though 1. if I wait til the end, the waiting is the hardest part. and then if I see spoilers?! it'll ruin the whole thing. but it will be worth it in the end bc I can watch a bunch at once 2. if I watch daily, its more like momentary gratification and ill be sad by the end lol im hoping they release it all soon. rumors say Monday or Tuesday!

im actually watching coroner's diary rn, and its so weird seeing ruipeng as someone other than the all powerful demon lord hahaha
