I know Love Between Lines, The Early Spring, and My Queen My Rules will be my top 3 modern cdramas of the year. But can we can this one to come out now please.

No yeah, that really shows his character. He's young rich successful and smoking hot. Of course he could have any girl he wants. He is obsessed with work, but also likes to satisfy his carnal pleasures. Hence his sort of bad-boy persona with his shallow treatment of girlfriends. Probably why he never had a long-term relationship.
We all know our girl is going to be the one to change that, and we seem to see glimpses of him already going against his own words. He's in a situation ship with her simply to please the physical needs as he is attracted to her.
I honestly can't wait for her to break his heart and really wake him up. AND YEARN. I don't think there's anything wrong with a casual partner, as long as they show consent as adults and share when they want to end things. So honestly, I don't really hate the way he treats her... "poorly" as everyone is saying. But. I want all this to come and stab him in his back, for his own words to go against him for the regret to really kick in and make their relationship finally peak.

it's already so good. hooked me in at ep 4. and we are not at 10. It may start of superficial in a way but it'll definitely develop and grow complex

I heard the novel really describes him in more red flag ways. and I imagine it also shows us what he's thinking deep down too. I do see some parts where it's sort of obvious he's attracted to her physically more at first, like how he disregards her feelings after that first night, but the drama definitely doesn't want the audience to hate him so they show him being really considerate and jealous too. and it's working bc im hooked to the core.

the thing with these sort of REALLY GOOD dramas that HOOK YOU IN, it's sort of good and bad when episodes are released fast because while im obsessed and want to watch everything in one setting, I also don't want the journey to be over so soon...

I was a little disappointed he had so little romance dramas, but he was so perfect and charismatic in every one. I have my fair share of cdrama male leads I'm obsessed with, but JingBoran is the only one I can really confidently call SEXY.

So are they in a situation ship? Or just casual dating? I hear a lot of the translation is wrong, and sadly I barely speak any mandarin,

I love how both leads are so clever in manipulating the wrongdoers to carry out justice, and seeing Crown Prince do so even for selfish reasons like eliminating his brothers in the fight to marry the princess... while it's funny at times, I'm just seeing how GOOD of a person Prince Lie is, contrary to that one scene where he tried to kiss her.. but to be fair if it were Crown Prince doing that, it wouldn't be seen as improper. the double standard 😭
I hope Prince Lie drops his feelings for her, because I don't want to have second hand syndrome. and from what we've seen so far, he's such a better person than his brother>_<
