This dramas is so badly written, from story, characters, continuity and general commonsense that the worst fault…
??? Their so-called "bro code" was never broken, they both talked about it when they were both single. And obviously if both really like one girl, how can it be easy to drop their feelings? Sang-do confessed after years of keeping it to himself, and it was when YongPil was still single, so I don't see a problem with it. If you don't enjoy it, just don't watch it. Spend your precious time on another show.

1. Gyuri and MinKyu: Still think Minkyu deserves better. Honestly, the fact that she told MinWoo her feelings only to find out he's all in for SiEun makes it feel like she only chose MinKyu because she didn't want to walk out alone. 2. SiEun and MinWoo: They are so cute, so unproblematic, and it's so special knowing they've never been to Paradise together. Really the one couple I expected and was rooting for by the end. I really hope they're together, because he brings out the softness in her. 3. JinSeok and MinYoung: We all knew it was expected. He's mvp. 4. GwanHee and HyeSeon: TBH my OTP. Yes, he has his cons but I try to understand his perspective. Also she's the one person who I feel like brings out his honest side and can tame him despite being so much younger. BUT I was so scared he was going to choose MinJi... like WHY SAY I hope you don't feel sad eating alone and whatnot. Tease her off screen lol my heart was racing. Can't wait to see her at his game.

Beautiful story, beautiful cast, beautiful acting... Honestly thought it was better in the first half, but nonetheless fun throughout. I will say it's a bit bittersweet about how things happened in the last episode, but I'm just going to convince myself they're the same person... I cried and laughed a lot. I hope they stay good friends ❤️
I love SiEun and Minwoo so much, I hope he doesn't back out and go for Gyuri... Also red flags from GwanHee like the rest of the world but I still think HyeSeon's best for him, and they do look best together. Gyuri can be with MinKyu whatever. And everybody else idc hahaha love JinSeok though! But he's too good for anybody there.

Yeah I'm surprised how much screentime he's getting, it really shows how interesting he is. I don't want to blame Minyoung too harshly because like I said it could be the editing, or honestly just because she's confused since it's only been a few days, or a part of her has to be nervous too-- with all the cameras, etc. I hope she gets her act together soon, and I really love Jinseok's compatibility with Minji so hopefully they can work out and Minyoung can find peace with understanding herself a bit more. Either way in the end, it's about being real and not fake. Doesn't matter who they choose in the end since it's almost always not going to become a real relationship.

I will say in the beginning I really really did not like HaJeong because it felt like she always put on a coy face with the men and then acted fake with the girls. BUT I did not expect to completely change my opinion-- I love how open she is and just says what's on her mind.
On the other hand, Minyoung is really bothering me with how she feels upset when the guys tie her and Jinseok together but then she goes and tells him not to focus on only her, but then when he does she gets even more upset. She's basically stringing him along-- he's not good enough for her, but he's too good to give to someone else. That's a selfish move imo. I did see how the rumor is she's having acquaintances put comments on clips of her, basically applauding her character off-screen but to the point where all the comments are clearly planted. Don't blame her-- her image is wavering.
There's no doubt a lot of my changing opinions has to do with the editing since they clearly edit 95% out. But yes this is my favorite season so far, it's the most fun and even though there is a script it doesn't seem as robotic.

Ahh ok I see Because I'm Korean American my perspective is different so I try to understand the reasoning behind certain regulations I don't understand-- thank you for the clarification, even if it's second or third hand. I asked bc I just watched Story of Kunning Palace where they add in the weird author synopsis which was obviously very awkwardly inserted last minute.

Okay thank you. The Chinese regulations are so confusing to follow. Like apparently dramas can't be about reincarnation/time travel anymore?? What's that about?? And why is there a limit for episodes (some have 80+ episodes!) or how soon the next season is airing???

With no spoilers, can someone lmk if I should watch this now? I just found out there's going to be a season 2, so I feel like I should watch this when that comes out. I don't want to watch with growing anticipation only to be left with an open ending for a sequel that'll probably take another year or two to come out.
3 years later and I'm rewatching it... I know the whole no kiss scene issue is a turn off for a LOT of people, but it's honestly just so good. So many conflicts but the ending is really satisfying. And the growth of our main characters (esp FL) is really great. Miss them so much, love my characters ❤️
What a beautiful ending. YanLin was really MVP throughout the whole drama-- especially the end. I'm glad he found closure (but omg having to see them kissing right in front of him was a bit cruel no?) but still feel like he needs to play a lead role immediately so we can see him get the woman he deserves. ML&FL chemistry was great, though I had to skip through some scenes like him grabbing her by the neck (not very romantic huh) and really feel like they should do another project, but one where they get together EARLIER. oh man. Waiting until the last few episodes was so hard. SO HARD agh. I haven't watched a costume drama in a really long time because of the unnecessary court/political drama but this one wasn't too bad. All the villains acted great enough I hated them with a passion and all the protagonists were great enough to cheer whenever good things happened. For sure invested enough time that I'll be thinking about this for a while. Maybe a week or so... Guess I gotta watch their variety show!! But seriously, the cast was amazing. I feel like Cdramas tend to have actors work on multiple projects together so hopefully this is one of those cases! 🤍❤️ I'll miss this one for sure. *cry
