As if she's much better? There is still not one redeeming characteristic in her person after 7 eps that makes…
My main issue with this show boils down to the Female Lead’s complete lack of empathy. While I’m not saying she is in any way responsible for the woman’s death, she was undoubtedly involved in the circumstances surrounding it. Even if she is technically "innocent," the fact that she can’t find a shred of sympathy for her half-brother or her father is jarring. They lost a wife and a mother. There was a specific scene during the mother’s death anniversary where the FL seemed completely indifferent. She is so trapped in her own bubble that she doesn't realize other people are suffering too. By secret thats exaclty what I mean, we the audience have seen they care but she hasn't which obviously creates a bias in how we'll view her action from then on. Yes, she is a victim in certain scenarios, but that doesn't excuse her treating everyone else like they don't matter. Her behavior comes off like an immature, spoiled teenager.Furthermore, she is a terrible boss and in real life that's just a toxic work environment. Furthermore, she is perharps coming from so much privilege because for an "illegitimate" child, she has everything: wealth, a high-ranking position in the company, and influence. Her obsession with gaining a noble title feels hollow because the show hasn't actually demonstrated why being a noble is better than being a wealthy, powerful businesswoman. Instead of trying to gain a title that doesn't seem to offer much, I feel like she should have just been focused on solidifying the power she already had so it can't be taken away. I just don't understand why she’s putting herself through all this trouble just for that type of "acknowledgment" when she already has more than most people could dream of. So yes, her character as the FL this all makes the show seem superficial and her appear to have no ethics.

I agree with you, her character is really poorly written. Like she has a few redeeming qualities. Like her appearance caused her half brother to lose his mother and her father his wife but she has shown 0 remorse since the incident was shown till now. Tbh that rubbed me off wrong, at least she could have been nicer given her family secretly cares about her. Now she just looks like she's ungrateful. Anyway, her redemption arc should have been in thist first half atleast. Around ep 7 I found myself wishing for a plot twist where he ends up with the queen instead, that was if she hadn't been the one to kill his brother. To me they seemed to have a better storyline and somehow the chemistry is there.
I really struggle hard to find things I liked about this show. Like really struggle. The ML's only good quality is that he's rich, otherwise am not convinced he even likes the FL. The FL, if I met her irl I'd think she was challenged. There's a point where we draw the line between sweet naivety and having the IQ of a 5 year old. I dropped this at ep 21 after that sterotypical depiction. Like wdym you travelled to 'Europe' and got attacked by black people. Let's just say it left a bitter taste in ny mouth. PS, I was already watching at x2 speed from ep 12 onwards. MLs sister and his bestfriend are horrible people and the FL deserves better. The things they did behind her back are appalling, and the fact they are still portrayed as the good guys is insane.
As someone who has once been where Han Gyul is, I can say I 100% understand what his train of thought is right now. The kind of questions he has can only come from her or him making peace when his brain finally reconnects with his emotions.
Some of you who replied to me . Sorry but I don’t have time to read all your commentsBut get a life! 🫤Beauty…
The fact no one has agreed with you yet should tell you something. And honestly, like, try to be a better person. Like, how would you feel if someone said the exact same things about you, claiming they were entitled to their opinion? Not good, I bet. So yeah, you may not find her appealing to you, but outright criticising her appearance is just mean and does not show good character.
Noooo, there's an episode I had to pause and just stare at her because she was literally shining. She may just be one of the top 10 most beautiful actresses I have seen, worldwide!!!!
I love how XG shines when she is with her work friends. She really looks miserable whenever she is with her college classmates. Goes to show that the right friends will make you shine, but the wrong ones can drain the life out of you. 🥰🥰
OMFG I NEED EPISODE 23 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! That was too good! Left me with a cliff hanger omg! I can’t wait any…
For the first time since this show started airingI am glad i have to wait for more episodes. The emotions at the end of episode 22. I need time to process them because why did i feel like as if if was I whose world was falling to pieces 😭🥹
