Based on ep 10 it kind of sounded like he did recognize who So Mi was before she got her memories?Since he was…
Yes, but you also have to keep in mind that MIL wouldn't recognise Somi as Haesuk given how much time has passed between Haesuk's youth and MIL's memories of her. I think most tend to forget that our minds aren't going to store specific information forever. Especially if Haesuk and her MIL never got along to the point they didn't see each other very often.

Somi never met KNJ's mother face to face in Heaven. She ran inside before they did.

So he recognised her from the start?
I don't think he did right away, but over time, he probably did figure it out. I think Somi is a combination of grief, memories, and guilt.

Ah, I think it's best to watch until the end. Because something significant is said near the end.

I feel like that's meant to mislead us. I think KNJ told Haesuk or Somi that their child was kidnapped instead of telling her that he actually died. I feel like she distanced herself from the truth so much that she started believing the lie. And the great shark guy knows what happened, given investigations, and KNJ doesn't want that truth known, so he's basically blackmailed by shark guy if KNJ wants his secret safe.

My theory at least. I'd be amazed if they come in with an even bigger plot twist.

If I'm right, Somi saying she "wants to forget again" is likely because Haesuk was distraught over whatever happened to their child that she completely blocked out that part of her memory. The way it's portrayed is meant to lead us into believing that Somi and KNJ had an affair. But if you look at the way KNJ reacts to Somi and then Haesuk, he feels guilty for the past.

I don't think KNJ was trying to drown her, but save her. Haesuk told the pastor she tried to take her life by walking into the river. The water has a significant role in every flashback so far. I assume their son drowned.

If he tells Somi that she's Haesuk, he's probably afraid that Haesuk might remember everything, thus remember all the grief she's experienced. When KNJ asked Haesuk if she's happy, he doesn't want her to feel pain again.

THIS ASSUMING she really is Haesuk and not a sidepiece.

I don't think Nakjoon ever cheated on Haesook, but it could be Somi was his ex that he never told her about. Which…
Maybe Somi is Haesuk's grandmother reincarnated.

Maybe Somi is one of Haesuk's reincarnations. But that wouldn't make sense in a few ways. We'll have to see tomorrow. I'm leaning towards Somi being related to Haesuk in some way rather than to Nakjun. Or maybe Somi is an angel of vengeance.

And how does Sonya know her. In fact, where is Sonya? 🤔

I also thought of a fourth possibility: Nakjun took Somi's son by order of Kang Jeong-gu. He was probably a debt collector, and the debt was to be paid by all means. So Somi's son was the pawn. Only for the officer to abandon the child or kill him when the debt wasn't paid.

Omg, I'm halfway in and what a huge plot twist. Will write more when it's over.Edit: I knew it. I knew Young Ae…
Okay, I think I'm getting a bigger picture here. The pastor is Somi's son. The Somi and Nakjun flashback could mean two things: Somi's son was taken from her, and so she tried to take Nakjun's as a way to replace him. This is actually really common in reality. Especially mothers who suffer a miscarriage.

My second theory is that Nakjun thought putting their son at a convent would be protecting him from whatever danger they were caught up in. And Somi/Haesuk was against it. I think Nakjun trusted the "White Shark" by taking him to that safe space, only for it to be a complete lie. Maybe because Haesuk was drinking a lot or tried to take her life, meaning she wasn't "fit" to be taking care of their child.

Or: Nakjun and Somi were together before he met Haesuk and the pastor was their son. And Nakjun took their son from her for whatever reason.

I don't know why everyone thinking somi is haesuk but i think somi is the mother of prastor . here is my theory…
I only came with this theory because Somi does a lot of thing Haesuk did. And her knowing who Nakjun's mother was, while Haesuk didn't. Also because Somi knew the umbrella trick and the hands inside of the pocket. She also smacked a pan onto her forehead like Young Ae did. With today's episode, I'll asume she's not Haesuk after all, but she is connected to Haesuk and Nakjun in some way to have those many similarities.

As I mentioned in a few comments, Somi is likey Hae Suk herself. A fragment of Hae Suk if you look at all the clues surrounding her.

The pastor said that he "only lived to the age of five". So, he's a child in an adult body. I wouldn't be surprised that that's the reason they don't know who he is.

I also have a theory that Somi is the real Hae Suk. And that the elder Hae Suk is the one who is a missing piece of her younger self, not the other way around.

But oh my, I thought my theory about Somi and Hae Suk being the same person is really falling apart. White Shark and Nak Jun remembering might be related to how he even became bedridden. Corruption? Maybe Somi's past self was out for revenge for whatever White Shark did to her or someone she loved. And Hae Suk and Nak Jun were also his victims.

But honestly, I still think Somi is Hae Suk's memories that she repressed because of how traumatic they were.

one thing that keeps bothering me every time he takes Som I to earth: why when they get back, she's not sucked…
I'd also like to mention that Somi only showed up as soon as Hae Suk was in Heaven.

When Nak Jun says he couldn't help but notice Somi in the train, it was very reminiscent to when he met Hae Suk. Nak Jun also never told Somi his name. He doesn't say he did nor does he attest to her saying that he did.

BUT YEAH, either she's Hae Suk's memory, or she's someone they both knew from the past.

one thing that keeps bothering me every time he takes Som I to earth: why when they get back, she's not sucked…
I don't think Somi herself is actually real in the sense she's like the other residents. When you think about what the dogs said about her, they said she's "different". One would think they meant that she wasn't a dog like them as they assumed.

But in a different context, it could also mean she's not a normal Heaven/Hell resident either. Other residents don't seem to notice her. She never really interacts with anyone other than Hae Suk, Nak Jun and Yeong Ae. All of the people who are part of Hae Suk's memories.

Sonya sees her because she's a cat. Cats and dogs see things humans wouldn't. Especially Sonya, who said she knows Somi, but never elaborated further. She likely doesn't get pulled into Hell because she's Hae Suk's consciousness, and not a being on her own.

If Hae Suk were to remember the things she suppressed in her life, Somi would return to her. The part getting sucked into Hell was probably Hae Suk's feeling of guilt, thinking that's where she herself belonged.

When Hae Suk entered Heaven, she left nothing at the gate. Which doesn't mean she didn't have anything to leave back. The past will always follow you, and that past is what I assume is Somi who Hae Suk needs to come to terms with before she can be at peace in the afterlife.

Made an account just for this: I think I know who Somi is.

She's likely Hae Suk's memories. Somi pointed out who Nak Jun's mother was, despite never having met her. She also ran inside before they came face to face. Hae Suk didn't recognise her mother-in-law, but Somi did.

If you think of former episodes, you'll notice that Somi's flashback matches that of Hae Suk's. She clearly went after the guy who was likely the cause of the accident Nak Jun was in. Hae Suk only felt anxious when Somi was near the man she was stalking.

Nak Jun not recognising Somi would also make sense. Him staring at her in the train was an indication he knew her from somewhere. Like a deep memory he couldn't figure out.

I also don't think Yeong Ae is dead, but stuck between life and death in a hospital.
