Maybe you read the script or book but Im only here strictly as viewer and everything you wrote was poorly convey in each episode and confusing with the constant bits of flashback that confuse the viewers even more. Its not smart but rather convoluting. Is he a simp or a cruel general or spy...many viewers can get lost. With these short series its so important to keep good flow and easy to follow. Look i do like the idea of this series but just poorly exercuted.

Lol how the heck does the ml planned everything ... This is so ridiculous and outlandish.. Nothing make sense... Im just gonna shut my brain down and watch it cause theres literally nothing else good now.

Jing tian is pretty and such a great actress but she often picks bad series or pair with ml that has little chemistry. The pacing is brutal. Everything is subpar. Wtf is going on lol!. Sry dropped. Disappointing... honest score 8.1-5.1/10

I will say this is the first short length drama that I am pleasantly impress with. Sure there are problems but the overall tone and acting are nice. The fl has great potential for bigger roles. The misunderstanding drama story trope will always work if done right no matter what. The ml character is quite cruel but Im all for pushing the boundary of character development and character arc. Glad I took a chance on this one so far 7.3/10

Fantasy xianxia wuxia with romance done well, in my opinion this series is literally better than anything out there right now in the world of entertainment. This is the kind of series that needs more support and recognition in cdrama moving forward. Its extremely hard to make a series like this properly, from the budget, outfit to the story, battles, environment, music and cast etc... every single endless minutia of details matter. If you like it please support it. Peace out friends.

Extra post credit funny behind the scene was perfect. Amazing couple and beautiful journey. IQIYI best series of the year and Im expecting and hoping for more amazing great series ahead. Thank you for taking fans like me along for the ride.

Great point. I hope cdrama will take more risk and go to different locations to film outdoor or nature scene where there is amazing natural lighting. It really does make a huge difference. The outdoor island cave scene and bright sunlight looking across the endless sea was mesmorizing.i think it really built on the romantic mood between the couple.
